2 Ship list? (Yes another Decimator list)

Right then, so ive been having a little play, and though ive kinda been away for a bit and may have missed people planning this already, this is what ive come up with... What do people think of this?

Oicunn - Dauntless Title
Ruthlessness, Mara Jade, Ysanne Isard, Moff Jerjerrod, Anti Pursuit Lasers - 58pts

Echo
Navigator, Advanced Cloak, Vet Instincts, Advanced Sensors - 41pts

99pts Total.

So the Decimator goes and plays in the middle with as much disruption/survivability as i can (Jerjerrod is ditched on the initial Crits once the shield drops, then Ysanne's ability will kick in with the free evade) while Echo zips around with 2 Focus tokens a turn, a free re-cloak and a little more forgiving in his maneuvers.

The only thing that bothers me is if im aiming to overlap, Ysanne might be 4 points wasted on a fair number of turns. Without her i have 5 points spare so im open to options. Im also considering the Advanced Sensors on Echo, and swapping them for Sensor Jammers. In such a small list im thinking defence might be a good idea.

Echo cannot take two crew, so that's out the window.

Ah i see, 2 sec, i changed things and edited the wrong bit. Just swap out he recon specialist for Advanced Sensors (or maybe even Sensor Jammer if more defence is a better idea)

Im kinda reconsidering the Anti Pursuit Lasers for an Engine Upgrade.

APL are if your opponent bumps, but my plan is going in and bumping myself. Think ill add Engine Upgrade so i can get in there quicker.

I really like the Navigator idea on Echo. Definitely helps when other people move after Echo so Echo can course correct a little bit.

I would remove Advanced Sensors and have FCS on Echo. The damage output once the target log is on is INSANE! Been consistently doing 4-5 hits/crits (when in R1) on ships. Take a pot shot from R3 at a fat falcon early on, get the lock, and when the falcon only has 3-4 hull left, swoop in for the kill (as long as the Falcon is not PS8+)

Ysanne is a bit wasted on Oicunn with Dauntless. Ruthlessness is pretty awesome, but for Oicunn, Intimidation might be better? Too bad you can't take 2 EPT. :P

I'd recommend taking Intel Agent since Oicunn will be nice and close and can inform Echo of where to decloak (especially with Navigator). It also allows Moff to sacrifice him to avoid a crit. :P

Last 4-5 points can be additional mods or secondary weapons. Maybe the ion splash torpedo, then you know exactly who to ram and where he'll be.

See i looked into Ysanne thinking that same thing, but after some research i realised that overlapping with ships doesnt stop Free actions like her ability (its in the FAQ), which means shes going to be soaking up a hit (and more importantly any potential Crits) each turn. If anything its the Title that may be wasted as i cant think what action id be that bothered about getting off once im actually in base contact (Target Lock/Focus to make sure i get Ruthlessness off? maybe) in a standard scenario. Does using a boost action count as another move (and would trigger him again?)

Im not really a fan of Intel Agent. It serves no purpose on Higher PS ships as you dont need to see their Dial at the start, they will be revealing theirs before you, and i dont rate it on Oicunn because again, hes going to be trying to slam into where they are now, not where theyre going to be but ill try out the FCS on Whisper, i just liked how the Sensors added one more step of rediculousness to his movement potential.

That's the thing, Ysanne and Dauntless title do not really mix well. If you take an action after bumping, you'll have a stress that will prevent Ysanne from activating (it's not the lack of perform action from bumping that prevents her from working, it's the stress). If you want to use Ysanne, then you'll never use the Dauntless title. The only way to keep both of them working is to have someone (BSP maybe?) take Wingman and remove the stress at the beginning of combat phase. But that's a minimum of 16 points there wasted.

You cannot boost into ships, because if you will overlap, you're not allowed to use boost. I was going to suggest Engine Upgrade until I realized that.

Intel Agent is there for 2 reasons:

1) Helps Echo/Whisper out to know where to decloak if the high PS pilots are moving after the phantom

2) Helps Oicunn out because you can use Moff to sacrifice the Intel Agent (only 1 point) to reduce a crit to regular damage.

For 1 point, it's well worth it if either of the 2 things above happen even once.

but ultimately, I'll be trying this out sometime.

I had points left over from dropping the title and a few bits so added the Mines. I figured they would see more use than an actual Torpedo shot but i may be convinced to switch in some Proton Torps.

I tried using Oicunn with APL, and ended up not using them at all because people were good at avoiding him. The ramming aspect ends up more of a "nice to have" than a consistent strategy. Let me know how it works out for you.

In the end I have a list like this:

ACD, VI, FCS, Recon or Weapons Engineer

I still need to try it out.

Yeah again, APL and Proximity Mines are on there because i had points to spend.
