Since I don't have the time or inclination to play in tournaments, I have already decided YT-1300 will have new cards and dials for use with the S&V faction.

I have recently repurposed an old PC tower carrying harness to carry plano trays full of ships and stuff. I am happy to report Inshould be able to get a tray full of these goodies into my existing storage strategy.

Having one of the Azzameen family in the faction makes me wonder if we'll see the Otana and the others in Wave 7, great way of bringing in another YT but not being yet another Rebels turret ship, it can be the Scum one instead.

So has anyone else noticed that Boba doesn't have a rear firing arc? Am I seeing that correctly? That would make a huge difference versus the imperial version.

If your Z-95 finds itself in a situation where it is getting Lone Wolf rerolls, the game is probably already over and you probably aren't the person that won.

It would absolutely stack with that pilot ability though, yes. Might be okay for missiles, or something to do with the illicit upgrades. We'll see.

I disagree, look at that point cost. 17 points for an x-wing with an EPT and one less HP, that's pretty amazing. Shoot it early and you're killing a 20-point ship instead of a bigger threat, leave it until endgame and you effectively have a rookie pilot with PS 7 and predator/lone wolf/etc. Are there other ships I'd rather have at the end of the game? Sure, but those other ships don't leave 80 points free for the rest of my ships that you have to kill first.

Idk. Named Z pilots aren't exclusive to swarmy hijinks. I know when Blount drops his load AND survives, he has to K-turn to stay in the fray. The Zs have been really good gap fillers for my experimental builds.

While adding a 3rd faction is really cool (and long waited for by some)...I do have to wonder about FFG releasing S&V at the same time they are starting up Armada.

Perhaps they are hoping to capture big sales from the fighter based crowd while giving the Big Ship mob their cake also.

FFG is smart and I would hazard to guess that they know what they're doing. I think there trying to lock down every type of gamer with these games.

Wave VI arrives BEFORE Armada. Also, they're really different games. I suspect that most of the X-Wing players will stay loyal to X-Wing and just buy a few cool Armada pieces here and there to place on the shelf for looksies.

It looks like the Andrasta is already included as a unique title card. See the bottom mini card fan, third from the right moving inward.

Man, when I read they were including Greedo in this, I was really hoping the card art would be him shooting at Han.

Wow, so many awesome looking new things. So far I'm loving everything I've read. I like the fact we can use some of our existing ships so we're not starting from scratch, whilst providing loads of new stuff. Nicely done FFG

That would certainly be interesting. However, I think the main reason there is a new Boba Fett is because his ability just wasn't super useful. In my opinion, he is one of the most underwhelming unique pilots, so now he should see quite a bit more play. Can't wait to use him against a swarm!

Why? Swarms will still not be his ideal opposition as they will still eat up big ships fairly readily, albeit at a slightly slower pace potentially from re-rolls. Note his ability works with friendly ships, not enemies.

Well, I guess if you've not got enough Y-Wings, Slave I's or HWK's yet, now is the time to get them because they will be in very short supply for a long time.

One thing I have to say is that I think FFG has done a fantastic job at capturing the Scum and Villainy part of the SW universe extremely well. They look dirty, their upgrades are dirty, and they definitely fight dirty (looking at you, Segnar's Loop). The revamp of Boba makes him extremely playable against swarms.

Another thing, I really appreciate their attention to detail when it comes to mechanics of this set. Everything is well thought out and there isn't anything completely insane (yet?) that we know will warp the meta such as 4 attack on a ship that can also cloak and decloak.

And finally, I love the wait time. They give us a rough estimate of when the new releases will be out and it gives us that much time to appreciate the current meta we have today.

I just got seven rebel ships none of which were hawks or y-wings, so now I have to spend another £20, I predicted a third faction but this really is better than what I imagined

Best thing is that they gave us a chance to use other factions ships on the third one. Hwk, firespray, i liked it. Will save some money.
