Close up pictures of the Armada ships

By Hexis, in Star Wars: Armada

ooooooo ty ty!

That Asault Frigate looks like a starship and a goldfish had a three children and that was the ugly one.

Gorgeous.

...that, and they hacked its tail off, and this is what we're left with.

I don't want to be a naysayer - at all - but I'm not sure how excited I am.

Did anyone get any measurements? If there is at least a linear sliding scale to these models then I might be able to salvage some enthusiasm.

Thank you for sharing your images, these look great.

:D

How dare anyone not love these ships!

Wuddah-maddah-you-crazies?!?!?!

BOO!

Hiss, hiss, hiss!!!

All of them look fantastic and fortunately the AF looks better up close than I initially thought. Honestly speaking as a Rebel player in XWMG I don't think I'll be able to resist the lure of the Dark side this time. I've always loved Imp capital ships more than their starfighters.

I just shed a tear.... such beauty!

Going to bed now, gots X-Wing finals in the morning.

Good Luck in the finals.

Love it, but I will be painting all the fighters. Simply can't leave them that way.

Too bad the pictures don't show the squadrons bases of the fighters not included in the core set.

Any way you slice 'em, these ships are gorgeous and well painted. (VERY WELL painted, compared to my skills)

Just my 2 cents. :)

I think we will see a lot of Imperial players, at least until the MonCals come out. There are other Rebel ships I like too, but they don't come close to my interest in space wedges.

I'm the opposite but you're probably right.

I'm going to play a Rebel at first because I love the midsize and smaller capships like the Neb-B. I hope we get the MC30C, CC-7700 and CC-9600 ships for the rebels soon plus the Neb-B2s and Carracks for the Imps. On the big ship front I hope we get the Liberator and Dauntless classes for the Rebs but those will be after the MC80 if they appear at all. And maybe the Bothan built cruisers and any smaller Bothan designed warships that are implied to exist in the Essential Guide to Warfare those would be larger. (The first Bothan designed warship we have solid data on was the Bothan Assault cruiser first built between 20 and 25 ABY but the Guide to Warfare lists them as having a major cruiser grade yard (in other words a major yard for ships sil 7 or small sil 8s and smaller in FFG RPG terms during the rebellion era.) Though those wouldn't be as big as the MC80s

We can make out some details. Advanced have 5 HP and the Escort icon. Squints have 3 HP with Swarm. It looks like Bombers have 5 HP as well, breaking the same HP as the X-wing versions. Sadly nothing can be gained for the Rebel fighters from those pictures.

So the largest Imp Capital ship initially is the Victory Class? No words on the Imperial Class ships or Interdictors?

It's safe to say that the Imperial will be released at some point. Depending on which Interdictor (SD or 418), we could see a Vindicator as well. But, yes. Imperial is almost a certainty given its sheer iconicness.
