Wave 6 Pilot Speculation

By Ribann, in X-Wing

Currious if/when we'll see Xizor or IG-88 or Karrde as pilots and what their abilities would be?

Did Xizor have much time in his ship? I think he is pretty open design space.

I already know who the named pilots are for the IG2000. IG88 A, IG88 B, IG88 C, IG88 D. One of them should be immune too ion special effects. Watch ESB very close that white IG88 is the one Boba "killed" with a Ion cannon yet if you watch the movie in the scene where the Wookiee is getting 3POs part, that IG88 C or D is still moving.

It would be really cool to have some "early" versions of Han, Chewy, Lando and Kyle Katarn. Back when they were smuggler/gambler/mercenary scum rather than rebel sympathizers.

Didn't IG-88A spend all his time in hiding while he plotted the extinction of organic life while IG-88D did the hunting as a cover? I don't see IG-88A flying off into battle. I think the generics will be Zann Consotium.

Xizor or the Virago title will probably grant some kind of targeting bonus, to match the advanced targeting computer his ship had.

I wonder if we'll get Hondo Ohnaka, from the clone wars, he'd be pretty old by this time but who knows what old in in Wequay years. I loved that guy, him and Cad Bane were my favorites from that show.

Not sure BUT his was the most advanced MM ever built even after his death.

I think A did do some Bounty hunting, B was the best but C & D did do Bounty Hunting too.

Funny thing about IG88 A is that he is also agianst other Droids. In one story he ran into droids that were plaining a droid uprising. He killed them all, the couldnt understand why he would betray his own kind.

Push comes to shove IG88A can be a alternate pilot for Death Star 2 XD

You suggesting his ship be different statwise like the yt-1300 ORS vs named?

I rather expect Emon Azzameen for one of the Firesprays...

No friend of the Empire, but didn't really run with the Rebellion, either (while his brother very much did).

Star Viper: Xizor is a must, perhaps Guri as well? Then Zann Corsortium and Black Sun non-unique pilots.

IG-2000: I expect to see IG-88B, C, D, and a generic something. Some guy called Bardan Jusik (Jedi-turned-Mandalorian) piloted one, apparently, so maybe we'll see him.

Z-95 Headhunter: Bossk, maybe Mara Jade? There are PLENTY of New Republic Z-95 pilots, but few well-known fringe ones AFAICT.

M-3A Interceptor: Car'das's smugglers flew them, so Car'das or even Karrde would fit. Any of the bounty Hunters (Dengar, Zuckuss, 4-LOM, even Greedo lol) would work in this ship or any of the ships, as Corran in the E-Wing has proven.

Y-wing/Hwk/Firespray: No idea. All 4 Imperial Firespray pilots should fit fine in the Fringe faction, though.

That or give him a good special ability that reflects the lore.

Just an example maybe too powerful. Xizor after using targeting computer you may take a stress token to reroll slected dice a 2nd time.

What if he got to take a stress to replicate a focus/marksmanship after the reroll instead of another reroll. I dont think its too strong, but it would depend on the ships stats.

I've floated this idea already, but IG-88 should be able to double barrel roll, the second one causing it stress

Ooh bringing in older Mara is a great idea, if they did that then they have the perfect S&V epic in the Wylde Karde

It may be a giant rusty hand vacuum in space but I've always liked it.

Wookies, wookies everywhere!

How does one stress out a robot, besides the obvious.....

IG-88A was the one who plotted the droid revolution and installed himself into an exact copy of the "brain" of Death Star II. His signal to start the droid revolution was about to go out when he was blown up by Wedge and Lando.

Tales Of The Bounty Hunters went pretty in depth on IG-88A-D as well as IG-72 (the one that did not participate in planning the droid uprising). IG-88B and C were destroyed by Boba Fett (B on cloud city, C during a dogfight over Tatooine) D was shot down over Tatooine by Fett but, escaped only to be destroyed by Dash Rendar on Ord Mantell.

As droids, they are mechanical which means that are highly susceptible to Ionization, so I doubt they would be capable of ignoring the effects of ICT or Ion Pulse Missles.

That works too.

Lots of natural water to the muther board =] Really though just because hes inorganic doesnt mean say Gs wouldnt effect him, or even kill him.

Well IG88 A ploted a droid rebellion, irony is all of those droids were really himself they had sleep programing that would activate once the signal was given, At that point they all would be IG-88. Unlike the droids he encountered that were planing there own rebellion and then destroyed.

I question if D is dead BUT the one that was "killed by a Ion cannon" that Fett used really didnt die because you can see him move in ESB on cloud city.

Han and Jessa would be awesome, if FFG would be willing to re-use pilots.

Looks like Prince Xizors card says something like when defending, another friendly ship at rNge 1 may suffer an uncancelled crit or hit.

That's exactly what it says.

What about reverse damage? This may seem dumb on the surface but for example, what if IG-88 had an ability where when you attacked him with a secondary weapon assign 1 ion token to the attacker? Or Karrde (if he's even a pilot) when you attack him and roll at least 3 successful hits against him he causes you a crit? Or when you attack Xizor you may not perform an action next round?

Sure that works.

Are there any chances of having mara jade on the Z-95 ???

The Named z-95 don't start with Mara. I see Kaa't- and something else with an apostrophe.
