I'm trying to get all the info in one place since people have calmed down a bit.
Can someone list all the points costs for the ships and fighters in the core box and did they display the cards for the wave 1 ships and fighters?

What are the differences between the two Victory classes and the CR 90s?

There's no info on the other ships yet. I got that list from the description page and pausing the demo video. So I don't have any info on the other ships.
But I'm guessing 60ish for the Gladiator, and 70ish for the Assault Mk 2.

The are 2 of each ship. I don't know the value of the Escort frigate.
The difference is upgrades and firepower. The VSD I has 3 red 3 black dice on the front Arc. The VSD II has 3 red 3 blue dice. So the duce has longer range but costs 10 more points
So what you're saying is I could field 7 Corvettes and still have space for a pair of X-wing flights or some upgrades?

Almost you will need a commander also that cost 25-35 pts and I would grab a few more X-wings for anti-Tie defence. at 9 points there will be a LOT of Tie fighters.
I'm making the following assumptions based on what I freely admit is not a lot of information.
You will want to spend at lest 225 points on cap ships and commander, but not much more then 250. You'll want at least 50 points for upgrades and fighters, but not more then 75.
I base that on the idea that plastic > cardboard, so more ships are better then a few ships with a ton of upgrades. I also assume that fighters will be important.
FFG did a killer job of making X-Wing feel very much like Star Wars dog fights. I'm assuming they'll do the same with Armada and making it feel like Star Wars naval fights. In Star Wars fighters are important and enough of them can bring down even a ISD when backed up by some cap ships. So in Armada you will want fighters both as a defense against other fighters and as a way to attack the other side when you have space superiority.
So while it's possible that 3 VSD's with only 3-4 squads of generic Ties could be a good list, until we know more I'm assuming it won't be. In the TC demon James seemed to hint that it wouldn't be a good idea.
