This looks pretty cool

I flipped for Armada, but I can see myself playing this more often. I'm curious how the campaign is going to play and feel. It kinda sounds like an RPG minus the Roleplaying, which isn't always a bad thing. The Pathfinder Card Game does that, and I love it.

Thoughts?

I have been into the LCG and X-Wing for a year and was also super excited to see Armada as well (though I I cannot say I will be spending quite as much on it unless it just completely blows my mind). This game has sparked just as much excitement as well, I am so thrilled that the franchise is coming back so strong! I see it as a tactical adventure/rpg where you play with pre-created characters as you say. I see this getting regular mission expansions that could carry us though ESB and RTOJ, which is freaking awesome!

Game looks like Descent 2nd but with Jedi. If it stands up to that ideal and gets the same product support, I'm all for it.

Reminds me of the Gears of War game from FFG. Never played Descent but it must be their top seller for a reason.

Hopefully after I get all this new X-Wing stuff I can sell a few organs to get this game.

very interested with the campaign and skirmish variants.

I'm excited for it! I've been waiting for a good Star Wars board game with the actual hero characters for a long time now. I've got a lot of faith in the game, I love the Gears of War board game so I'm hoping it'll be similar to that. It's too bad it doesn't seem like there's a single player option the way there is with Gears.

I agree, looks a lot like a reskinned Descent. And I'd been looking for a reason to buy Descent ....

Can I get first dibs on your liver...I have been playing Talisman ALOT and the beer and pretzels (especially the beer) have never been more plentiful!

I agree, it's great to see someone doing cool stuff with the Star Wars IP. I'm not at all familiar with their other games, but a Narrative based miniatures Co-op game from FF is just what I have been waiting for. 2015 is looking hot.
