No but really... this game looks cool. Excited to use it with the RPG as well. Except it's $100 dollars. No thanks, if I'm spending that much I'll get Armada.
Edited by Goknights12I find this more intriguing than Armada, personally.
Descent + Star Wars theme = WIN
I've been dreaming for a year or so that someone would make a Star Wars mod for Descent. To see an official version blows my mind! This trumps Armada 7-fold for me.
i looking forward to painting cool star wars minies. has been awhile.......
plus it has skirmish rules when you want to shake things up!
Outside of the Armada and this battle, anyone else worried that they have released 2 $100 core sets? ouch time.
Keep in mind the $100 is the base game AND Luke / Vader mini-expansions. (I'm assuming they're like the Monsters & Heroes expansions in Descent 2nd.)

Yeah. I think people are really gonna have to pick one or the other. Especially since you're probably going to want at least two cores for each game. That's $400 msrp. "Ouch" is right!
Edited by BudgernautThis beats armada for me, BUT, Now begs the question.. do i need two games with ovelaping mechanics in my collection.
Star Wars /Descent??? Hrmm...
If I wanted to play Armada, I would be playing XWing. I could definitely use another dungeon crawler in my library.
I really like the idea of this game….but the miniatures look like the exact same sculpts as the old Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Miniatures game.
See the resemblance?
I’m not saying it’s necessarily bad, a lot of the sculpts on that game were good. But I worry that FFG may have just acquired Wizards’ old master moulds and are putting them to use.

If by "the exact same sculpts ......." you mean "similar to..." then yes.
There are certainly resemblances (it's Darth Vader, he is holding a light saber and his cape is wavering) but I would say that the positures aren't the same nor is the cape.

Eh, that was the only one I had a close up of, the Trandoshan Mercenary and Nexu look very similar too…but maybe they’re just copying the poses. Either way, doesn’t matter, I’m excited for this game regardless.

you were not first - the playtesters were first. Just sayn.

Yeah,...given the amount of material they currently have for Descent, I'm thinking this might soon become their (FFG) flagship dungeon crawl with Descent taking a backseat or phasing out altogether.
