Zero interest in buying this, although I probably wouldn't turn up my nose if a friend had it for occasional play on a board game night.

depends on how good the minis are... might be useful... but if you're going third faction AND armada...and this? Too much good stuff...

This could be so awesome. Imagine the sweet campaigns you could do:

Armada -> X Wing -> Ground Assault

Looks like nice models, but seriously, between X-wing, Armada, and the rest of life, this just becomes so low on the priorty scale.

Yeah I think wanting a more substantial ground based game on top of armarda and a third faction is unrealistic, next year though...

And there is a problem with this how? Descent happens to be a brilliant game, and if you could somehow integrate this with Armada and X-Wing Campaigns would be brilliant!

I don't t think this is meant for X-Wing players specifically, but for the Star Wars RPG crowd, or those who love Descent-style games. But it's still cool none-the-less.

I'm fine with the minis being unpainted. I mean, honestly, worst case, you can paint them yourself.

Also, if it keeps costs down that would be great. It's not easy keeping up with X wing on a college students budget, plus the fact that Armada is coming out and I need to get it so hard that it's not even funny, y'know? There's so much sick stuff coming out that I don't even know how I'm going to afford all that much less Ground Assault. but it needs to happen.

I completely understand that, being a jobless college student myself. But then I have to buy paints, which costs however much more too. And the game itself, if you read the article, just...doesn't seem so interesting to me. I'll save my limited funds for X-wing, and hopefully Armada if I can afford that.

Yeah, I'm unsure about this. Hex based or table based might have been better. Unfamiliar with descent, but could be promising.
