FFG just announced an online toolset to help track your X-Wing stuff.

Well I hope they let you log your collection and give you the option to restrict your list building to components you own. That's always a nice touch.
Only problem is that there are already multiple websites for this.... however if they ALSO make it a really good IOS app, I'd use it in a heartbeat.
I hope it leads into a way to play online, or in a app online. Vassal is great, but it can't automate everything in the game.
If I can get to it from work, then it's immediately better than anything else currently out there.

Why would they do this unless you're OK buying virtual ships for the same or nearly the same as physical ships, like MTG did.
well i feel MTGs system was a flop because most people chose to play either online or in reality unless they had the money for both (which i find to be just silly myself considering the excessively large fan base of the game)

Except they'd also need a license for computer games, which is locked up with EA.
It also allows you to build and share your own scenarios and campaigns.

I don't think it works quite like that. They could easily release an app.
