Does anyone know if FFG will have the announcement streaming somewhere, where us non-genconners can watch the ball drop too, or are we stuck relying on tweets and posts from inside the con?
A quickie FFG's Big Announcment @ Gencon question
Tweets I would think. It shouldn't take long. I assume they are announcing the Ace splat book. The X-Wing announcement I am betting will be a mini of The Ghost. Two empty shelves though, so there could be some left field stuff also.

Just my guess, but it seems pretty logical. The real treat will be if they announce some kind of product support coming next year for the new movies.......................... 
Yes, the Ghost would be very cool. My Edge group has that ship, so it would be cool to have a model for it! It's 9am here on the west coast of the USA, so it wont be long now before the big announcement. 
Since the Ghost's CGI model for the show is a bit stylized (i.e. very few bumpy bits), I'm wondering if the model will be clean and smooth of if they will add details. Also, is the Phantom removable/playable?!
They also have video recaps. Those might show some stuff related to the Star Wars RPG.

So far they've announced Adversary Cards for SWRPG and Scum and Villainy faction for X-Wing.
Probably save the really good stuff for the big finish. One of the videos I saw from a previous year was just shy of 90 minutes, so it could be awhile for 'awesome' to make an appearance.
Besides the SWRPG stuff we are hoping for I've got my fingers crossed for a Battlelore 2ed expansion and finally an announcement of the Mission Red Planet board game reprint. I'm sure there will be Descent stuff announced too; there always is

I want to be super excited about Star Wars Descent but the thought of buying another 10 boxes makes me shudder. I don't think I can do it this time. My wallet trembles in fear.

I'm completely without anyone I trust can interpret the cool for what it is... much as she tried. And I'm unable to see the pictures. I hate to need help but I don't want to wait till I can get it from my broother or dad tomorrow! Can someone explain the cool for me???
While I was not happy with the level of the painting in WotC minis after the first few series, I really don't want to buy unpainted minis anymore. I know I don't have the time to paint them anymore. I know the look of the ships have been great, so i hope these will look just as great.

There are some pictures of the ships in Wave 1 of the Armada game, which are a couple star destroyer types, a Nebulon and a CR-90 and some fighter squadrons along with a Type 3 assault frigate, whatever that is.
Then the board game, Imperial assault. It has 11 miniatures that are unpainted as play pieces. A cout walker, wookiee, probe droid, Imperial Guard, Nexu, Scout Trooper on a E-web, A Twi'Lek Jedi I think, 3 Bounty Hunters, and an Imperial officer.
For Imperial Assault my guess is that the figures will be slightly smaller (28mm) than the wotc minis (32mm). This was my experience from using wotc's D&D minis as proxies for the Descent conversion kit heroes. It won't really matter for the creatures or scout walker but will probably be noticable with the humanoid-sized figures.
The Assault Frigate looks like it is from Star Wars Empire at War video game. But in that it is called the Mark II, so I'm not sure.
