Whats the difference between these and if I own all of D1 and bought the conversion kit? Are there any new heroes or monsters offered in them or is it really just the quests plus new D1 figure designs?. And is there any place to buy the quests seperatly if I've already got the conversion kit and don't have the money, space, or interest in rebuying the figures?
Question on the Descent Hero and Monster Collections
The Hero and Monster collections provide updates for the heroes that are far better balanced than the conversion kit. I don't believe there's any place to buy the quests separately.
Monster too are updated (beastman for example)
officially, no, no way to buy thoses quests. And since all of them have overlord rewards cards, this is no use
I also own everything for D1e and D2e. I went ahead and bought the Hero & Monster collections to date for two reasons ...
One was so that I could have the updated heroes and monster stats.
The second was more aesthetic ... I think the monsters in the new collections look way better than the ones from D1e !
Worth noting though that in terms of monsters, many of their stats are the same. The heroes received more tweaking, it seems.
Ah, for some reason I didn't think they had changed anything stat wise from the conversion kit. Thanks for the answers. Wish I could afford them but $30 is out of my price range until I have all the completly new content. Since I'm going to be using the conversion kit is there any perticluar really unbalanced hero or monster I should avoid having used?

You can also do what I'm doing and errata the cards from the conversion kit as any changes come to light from the H&M collections.

I would use the revised Elder Mok - even after two nerfs I can attest that he is still utterly insane, but the Hero and Monster Kit version is much less insane than the conversion kit version.
Also, you may want to talk to your gaming group about using Kobolds. They're so much stronger than any other monster in that game that one of my gaming groups has banned them by general consensus - even with my agreement, and I'm the overlord. My other group, the Overlord - despite having the CK - just doesn't want to use stuff he doesn't have models for.

for beastman it would be a problem since FFG didn't show the changes of act1

I had to dig around for the info. They try to keep it updated every time a hero or monster gets a stat change.
