OK, so I haven't seen many people use these guys. The 1 for 1 power icon kneel to reduce x character by 1. Stormlands Pesant and whatnot. I love them, but I just don't see many other people playing them. Are they not as good as I'm thinking or are do they just not make the cut? They were reprinted in the coreset, right? Are they better in LCG then? ~Probably not since you have to pack your deck full of OOH and Nuetral cards to have a "good" deck.
Anyway, yay or nay on the reducer guys?
Little Reducer Guys
When I was debating picking up a third Core Set copy, I quipped to our group that I was thinking about it because I needed another House Tully Recruiter. I was only half joking (and, FFG, you couldn't have just done a straight reprint of House Umber Recruiter? You're killing me...). I used these reducer guys often in standard and I think they are every bit as good and probably better in LCG where resource providing cards are slimmer pickings. And if you're worried about building using as much in-house as possible (e.g., for cards like Bear Island or because you're spooked by Men with No King), they are great choice.
i usually have one or 2 rarely 3 in a deck.
Yeah, I love chain reducing those guys. I mean kneeling one to play one for free is just awesome! haha Also, they are pretty sweet for set up and perfect for that first turn mil claim. I mean they are useful the turn they come out, and after they are used once they have paid for themselves! I prefer them over the zero cost gold locations. You don't have to wait a turn to use them. Plus the reducer guys aren't limited!

really? I kinda consider them pretty useless other than mil fodder after the first couple of turns. So I usually put in 3 to increase the chance of getting at least 1 during the first turn. Although it probably reduces your chance of banking on an awesome character turn 9 and then drawing Stormlands Peasent.
Illyrio's Man was reprinted in the Core Set for Targ. Stark got House Tully Recruiter instead of House Umber Recruiter.
But you'd better check the Core Set again, Staton. They weren't reprinted for Lanni and Bara. Stormlands Peasant is not LCG-legal.
Staton is a sad panda. ![]()
Its probably a meta thing Staton. In LCG I see those Targ guys ALL the time. (they wnat their gold for other things.
I like how you refer to the Targ players as They and not We. ![]()
