Based on this website, Store Champions are granted a first-round bye at a Regional Championship.
Well, I won the Summer 2014 store championship in my area. This occurred after the 2014 Regional season was pretty much over. Does this mean I will be eligible for a 1st round bye in a 2015 regional competition...?
I never received a formal "Store Champion" certificate from my store - just the "Summer 2014" medal. Will this be enough if I show up at a regional?

I don't think that's a Store Championship--just the summer tournament kit from FFG. I could be wrong, but the lack of a certificate implies that you'll need to win another tournament next spring in order to pick up a bye.
I would say/guess no. It's unfortunate for you that the Store Championship you won weren't held before the Regionals (it should have been scheduled during/in the SC season period)
Since you don't even have the certificate only makes it even less likely all SC, Regionals and Nationals winners has a bye for the next tier tourney. My Regionals certificate clearly states it only eligible for bye in the 2014 Nationals, so if you had received a SC certificate it would be the same I think.

Yeah, I misread the part about the medal. Certainly sounds like the casual Summer kit. For clarification: did you receive a Biggs card and Academy Pilot Cards?
The Store Championships are a special, specific, FFG Sanctioned event. They will begin in early spring.
