What do you think a convention is for? A limited pre-release usually generates hype and excitement, which is good for the game and the retailers who sell it. If you think even a tenth of a percent of the Wave 5 sales for the year are happening at Gen Con, I would bet you were way over-estimating.

Dont ever go to Comic Con then in San Diego... you'll go from disappointed to depressed by the amount of exclusives lol.
