UPGRADE CARDS NOW SOLD SEPARATELY???

about arbitrary rules and, for no justifiable reason or purpose, require each card to be FFG produced

There's nothing arbitrary or unjustified in expecting people to actually pay for the stuff they're using.

Unless perhaps you think that all the designers, artists, factory workers, support staff, OP staff, web designers, etc. etc. don't deserve to be paid for their work. Or maybe you think that the game is too big already and new content should no longer be produced.

$7? we could almost buy our own ship for that!

That's great kid but who's going to fly it, you?

Well, now then ever i even might need this...
I would not really want to spend the money on the cards but...

I most def. will not buy any of the 3rd faction crap...

So i rather have TC open they blisters and sell the cards which means.. Wave 6 will drop in sales..

Hope that will teach them.. ha....

I know this thread is very much necroed but I didn't see the point in starting a new one. Several friends and I are just getting into the game with limited budgets and it's easier for us to spend a few dollars on cards then ships.

I would like to see individual upgrade cards sold or even a sort of "Booster Pack" as it were of 5 or 10 cards. Maybe something like the following

Pilots

by Faction: (mostly "generic" pilots but a named one or two per pack)

Upgrades:

Crew & Title by faction

Secondary Weapons & Bombs

Cargo, Hardpoints & Teams

Illicit & Salvaged Astromechs

Elites & Modifications

Astromechs, Systems, Tech

Just a thought :)

Just getting into the game, not much for ships yet

I understand you are new...but this topic comes up very frequently and has been done to death several times over. This came up as recently as last week.

FFG has states categorically that this won't happen...it doesn't jive with the disti model.

That being said continue to save and buy what you can...you can always proxy stuff too!!! :-)

Yeah, and if you look at TC site, even they do not seem too interested in doing sales and most of the stuff you would want is sold out.

My advice, for local pick up games and tournaments, proxy if the TO allows.

For events that require you to have the real card, borrow from a friend or break down and buy it. I know this involved buying ships that you do not want to fly or may be out of faction for you, but we all do it and maybe down the line you'll end up flying it later.

Can I tell you the number of ships I own that I have never flown... ugh.

Buy 4 B-wings and a Z. Playable and tournament-friendly right out of the box. Also, have you tried getting rid of money sinks like cigarettes, booze and warhammer 40k?

Next thing someone is gonna say just use micromachines or hot wheels.

*cringes in agreement*
