Advanced sensors and decloaking order

By BlechCola, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I couldn't find it in the posts or the FAQs, but my apologies if this has been covered before.

Decloaking rules state the ship decloaks immediately before revealing the manoeuvre dial. Advanced sensors states you may perform and action immediately before revealing your manoeuvre dial. Given both are immediately before, is the player able to decide which to do first?

For many actions it won't matter, but being able to barrel roll to the side of an asteroid before decloaking straight ahead is quite different to not being able to decloak straight ahead due to the asteroid.

Also ranges for target locks may be in play too - not within range 3 of Kagi when you elect to target lock another ship first then decloak and are in range of Kagi so would have had to target him instead.

Yes, you may choose to use Advanced Sensors before Decloaking.

Or Decloak before Advanced sensors. You just can't use Advanced Sensors to Cloak and then Decloak.

If you are in Range of Kagi, you must lock him, so it would be beneficial to use AS to TL someone else before the decloak movement takes that option away.

I'm curious how you're getting a Phantom a TL? Jenny perhaps? Hopefully not with a Targeting Comp.

Good point. I didn't even consider that bit of the OPs post.

Weapons Engineer & FCS?

Weapons Engineer & FCS?

Yeah I kinda forget they have the crew and system slots. I just toss VI and ACD on em and call it good.

Weapons Engineer & FCS?

Even FCS wouldn't come into play in this scenario, because that happens after an attack, not before a maneuver dial is revealed. I think the OP just made an oversight.
