Teflon Trio - Squad suggestions

I have been playing around with a squad the last few games I've played, and I could use some ideas for tightening it up.

The basic plan is to have three tough-to-kill ships with 3 attack, with the tankiest of the ships, Ibitsam, being the highest priority target due to her HLC and double-actions making her the hardest hitting of the three ships. This is designed to play out in such a way that by the time ibitsam has gone down, the opponent's squad has been reduced by a ship or two.

Both Luke with R2D2 and Tarn with R7 are fantastic defensively when they aren't being focused-down - they are the best late-game ships for their points.

So essentially, the list is designed to get luke and/or tarn into the late game where their defensive chops can really shine through. It works quite well, and ibby's automatic re-rolls with stress are a huge bonus defensively and offensively.

What should I do with the final five points? I've tried swarm tactics chaining from luke, ive tried flechette torpedoes, and a few other things as well. I think maybe a vet instincts on Luke as an anti-phantom measure might be worth it, any other ideas?

You could stick to your theme, and make a ship even more survivable. Eg, Sensor Jammer on Ibtisam, or a Shield Upgrade on any of the three.

Draw Their Fire or Expert Handling would be nice for Luke.

Sensor Jammer can be great for Ibtisam.

Also, you could consider elusiveness on Ibby if you wanted to really kick it up to defense mode. There is something awesome about using elusiveness to reroll their die, which stresses Ibby and allows her to reroll her defense die.

DtF takes the EPT slot on Luke. But the song suggestion is a good one.

All good, but I want to second the wonderful late game horror of Luke with R2D2 and a shield upgrade. Add draw their fire and it is complete.

I run a very similar list actually. Luke and Tarn are the same, but instead of Ibitisam I use Corran with VI, FCS, and R7. He is also fairly difficult to kill and the R7 actually pairs really nicely with the high PS FCS. I'm loving the Ibi with sensor jammer idea though! looks very fun!

Bango. I think that nails it. Ibby now has the chance to influence up to three offensive dice coming her way, making Luke more likely as a first-priority target, which just gives the HLC more time to shine, and making it all the more likely that Tarn is the one of the last ships targeted. I think Tarns ability is just nuts,but the trick only works once a round, so it scales very well with the number of ships remaining. Forcing a reroll of all red dice when its 1-on-1 is a huge advantage.

Losing the stress dynamic from PTL with the HLC makes Ibby a much less juicy target, and also probably significantly decreases her damage potential. Using Elusiveness, the stress occurs during the combat phase when you are attacked, so you won't get the benefit of the stress re-roll on your own shot if your target is a higher PS.

Luke with R2-D2 is now the obvious target, I'd think, and I'm not sure how long he'll last. I'd like to get some attention back over to Ibby, for her overall tankiness even without Sensor Jammer.

I think this is the one. Ibby retains her PTL-HLC punch, but is made much more resilient, the basic list dynamic is the same, it just works much better. I would love to see a shield upgrade on Luke though. 4 points that make a huge difference once he's got Rd2D with him.... hmmm.
