I started deployed on my extreme right at the board edge with Academies in front and Howl and Black in back with Rexler running on the blocks left. moved forward 4 with the Ties and 5 with Rexler who BR to the right and forward to position for a flanking run. My opponent started middle with everyone but Wedge who was to my right of his other ships at a 45 degree angle away from me.
He moved up then banked into me and I responded banking straight into his fighters. wedge had swung around to the opposite side of rexler closer to my side. First turn of shooting had a tie getting Ioned into a asteroid for next turn and me stripping shields on the B-Wing with 3 ties the other pulling shields off the Y-Wing. The Y wing almost Ioned Rexler off the map since I over did my manuever that turn. He had three hits and I rolled 3 Evades, very close one. Next turn I 4 K'ed Howl and the academies with the black going Hard 1 to the left to face wedge. This worked out really well since my opponent chose slow manuevers and he ran all of his ships except the 2k'ing Bwing into the Black squadron tie and his own ships. Rexler had hard turned 3 into the fight and that turn saw me killing the Y-wing next turn I misjudged some things and took hits on ties from asteroids and did some bumping. rexler moved up with a 2 bank and bumped howl and his Tala boosted out of the fight for now, wedge and the Bwing eased forward to kill howl and whomever with the Black squadron pilot going the opposite way of the Tala and out of the fight for a turn. That round of shooting saw Wedge wiffing his attack then getting shot out of the sky by Rexler and a PS 8 Academy.
Next round the B wing got shot down by Rexler before the Black squadron could fire and then two turns later I chased down the Tala.
It was a very fun match and it was against the first person I played Xwing against. in that first game he one shotted two elite Intercepters in one turn then I had to leave shortly after so it was a nice rematch. I forgot to include that the black squadron pilot was shot at by the Bwing at range one the round before the Bwing died and he rolled 4 blanks for his attack roll. I still cant believe how much the Black Squadron piloit messed his manuvering up with the spontaneous hard turn rather than K turn with the formation.
