"Boop" 2.0

By GannerRhysode, in X-Wing

Saw this topic title and made me think of something. I wonder who else, besides me, makes noises when they move their ships in the game?

For example. My turn to activate Soontir Fel and I reveal his dial, get my template, set it down, and then as I am moving my model I'm usually doing a "psschhhhh" noise or when my Lambda or another ship is set on the other side of the movement template, I've often said "bee-boop" or "boop...and he will take a focus action."

Lol I just think it's necessary for sound effects in this game, because it's so awesome :)

I keep my phone beside the game, and will sometimes (if it's a casual game) have one of the X-Wing soundboards installed on it running... either for music, pilot chatter, explosions, or flybys.

I do not but it sounds like a good idea.

Oh heck yeah. We make boop noises when we crash into stuff and explosions when things die. Occasionally the Pac-man death sound.

This is what inspired my topic thread. Also the sound I make when I bump people.

We don't boop. We tink.

Boop and pew-pew-pew sound effects are typical for my group

I have also done the soundboard thing, mostly with explosion sounds for my opponent's ships queued up.

I have an old sound chip from a birthday card that is vader. Played a lot for when he is in use. The other thing my group do often is him or sing a little ditty to " Ther ecould be trouble ahead" but we use There could be clangage ahead. Referring of course to that wonderful sound Ties especially make as they run into each other in the middle of the fur ball.

What's a boop? I don't get what it's suppose to be. Pew Pew, I understand but boop?

Scientific progress goes"Boop"?

I personally intone "boop" and "bee-boop" to match R2-D2 :P

Whenever I bump another ship I say "you can't park there"!!!

Thankyou, now it all makes sense. :D

I have always fancied myself as a *thunk* kind of guy... but that's just me.
