Intimidation and Tactical Jammer

Super excited about the Decimator preview!

This combo is really cool, especially on Oicunn (on the Decimator). But this makes me wonder who else could use either card OR the combo well (even if not as well as Oicunn)?

For just intimidation, Arvel will actually come in handy now. Go ram into people, cause them to lose 1 agility, and then still shoot at them along with the rest of your team.

BSP, Prototype/Green squadrons will also be good, ESPECIALLY if you can get two ships touching it (I assume the -1 agility stacks?). You can reduce a BH/Outrider to 0 agility, yikes!

For Tactical Jammer:

Doom shuttle + TJ will be something I try for sure, since my shuttle often ends up blocking and causing traffic jams. (too bad the shuttle doesn't have a pilot with EPT :( else it'll be awesome with Intimidation).

With both cards, you'll need:

Firespray - Kath, Boba

YT-1300 - Chewbacca, Lando, Han

YT-2400 - Dash, Leebo

VT-49 - Oicunn (who this combo was designed for)

I don't think Dash, Lando, Han, Kath, or Boba ever want to be the ones causing traffic jams, at least not intentionally, so this probably is best on Leebo and Chewbacca, who both have strong defensive abilities (especially with C3-PO).

Any other ships I'm missing who would be good with one, the other, or both?

so many new options... it's like xmas in August... well, xwingmas anyway!

Shuttle needs EPT

About Arvel: nope, still not useful.

Is it because he's over-costed by a couple of points (and doesn't have EPT compared with Green)?

Black Squadron Pilots will be able to use Intimidation well, especially against high PS rebel squadrons. Just action block an enemy ship as you would usually do, and voila!, the rest of your squad can shoot him dead.

Not sure the shuttle will be able to use Tactical Jammer well, as generally I would rather have something else with Jammer protecting the Lambda! My opponents already have enough reasons to blast away at it's 1 Agility, not sure I need to give them another. But it might be worth a shot, especially with, say, Mara Jade on board.

Well, anyone who is shooting at the Lambda (at 25 pts) is not shooting at your more expensive ships. :)

Plus, I would fly the Lambda into the fray and have a ship or two crash into it, so only a few of them can shoot at the lambda, while the ones touching the lambda shoots at your other ships with extra agility. :)

In that case, I would propose the Firespray for this job. You can jump in there, obstruct shots, maybe drop a Proximity Mine and, unlike the Lambda, still be able to contribute to the battle the round after either through the rear firing arc or K-Turn.

Yeah, otherwise no one would take the Lambda. :P

Plus it has *2* crew slots, which now with all these new amazing crew to choose from, I wouldn't know which to take. Firespray you're usually too busy using Tactician, Gunner, or Recon Specialist, unless you take 2-3 Firesprays... Hmm... :blink:

i'm rather surprised i haven't seen anyone talking about the new ship that's previewed in the Intimidation upgrade card

I think there was another thread that declared that the 3rd faction will be announced at GenCon based on that image. :P
