Did anyone else note that Experimental Interface and Lone Wolf are unique cards?

In addition to killing the Swarm with cards that are powerful against a swarm, they're killing it by giving players good options for builds you can only run once per list.

So even if you wanted (say) a pair of Green Squadron Pilots with EI and Lone Wolf and PTL to act on opposite flanks, you can't.

And if you are building unique pilots with skills that can't be replicated, you might as well make them high PS. And might as well only take 3 of them...

Well, it's not as if you'd expect an abundance of experimental interfaces built into complete fleets, nor would you find a bunch of Lone Wolves working together, would you? So thematically it all makes sense.

That's ignoring the fact that EI and PTL wouldn't really work well together.

In a hypothetical world where Lone Wolf isn't unique, the first copy of it has a huge marginal cost: that ship has to stay at Range 3+ of the rest of the list. But in a way, the marginal cost for the second copy is lower: the second Lone Wolf already has to stay at Range 3+ of the first Lone Wolf. And it keeps going that way until you get to the last ship, which might as well have Lone Wolf because it's already trying to stay at Range 3+ of each other ship in the list.

Also, as Dagonet said--it's, you know, a lone wolf.
