I did suggest DD as well. Think I like EH though just to be giving Tycho 3 stress a turn.

Daredevil gives you stress, so you get the 3 per turn either way.

Which basically means that Tycho does not K-turn ever.

Use A-Wing Test Pilot and PTL. Then Tycho don't care about K-Turns.

I like having the potential to kick out 5 focused dice out of Boba Fetts rear arc. For cool points and giggles alone it would be worth it.

Also I will have to to try out Mr Mithel, who doesn't like one shotting x wings? (Or at least the potential of doing so). And doing so with 'lowly' tie fighters just increases the fun.

Sure--on ships that can take an HLC. And I'm pretty clearly not advocating that it's a great combo for general use.

But, for instance, what if this is part of my list?

Expose (4)

Experimental Interface (3)

Biggs Darklighter (25)

Hobbie can easily end his turn with no stress, and as long as he's at Range 1 of Biggs the Agility penalty isn't an issue either. Prior to Experimental Interface entering the picture, Expose was difficult to work around: you could have run Wedge + Garven/Kyle/Dutch + Biggs, but that's a three-ship list that falls apart as soon as you lose the synergy piece. This is at least potentially a four-ship list, and you're not sacrificing anything to get that extra attack die except those 8 points.

That's a huge leg up over where Expose was before; it was almost always terrible before, but now it at least has some (mathematically) viable applications.

I get that expose is situational, but I like having options available.

I like having the potential to kick out 5 focused dice out of Boba Fetts rear arc. For cool points and giggles alone it would be worth it.

Yeah, I think the rear arc on the Firespray (particularly with a high PS) is one situation where where Expose can work.

Rexlar+Exspose+EI+Ion Cannon.

Now I can eather do my damage of control the way you fly.

I might be down one agility but defenders can take a hit.

This opens options, I like options.

On top of that, do you really want to be paying seven points for an upgrade that you won't be using every turn? Why not just grab predator instead of those two (save yourself 4 points) and let it work every single attack, with or without the ion cannon.

I like your thinking. There are probably some creative ways to run expose with all of the pilots and upgrades that are running around. I just don't see it.

For example, the Biggs/Hobbie "list" you gave actually seems pretty decent at first glance. Until you factor in the opportunity cost. Why not just take PtL and save four points? Or some other good offensive upgrade like predator (I know it doesn't really combo with him).

Some quick and dirty math:

PtL - 3 dice, TL, and focus

.9375 chance or hitting, x3 = 2.812 expected hits

VS.

Expose - 4 dice and focus

.75 chance of hitting, x4 = 3 expected hits

Is that .18 extra hits worth 4 points, your modification slot, and reduced agility (moot until Biggs dies of course)?

But you are correct. The problems with Expose have now been fixed to the point where it is now occasionally viable. The problem now is: why would we choose it over better alternatives.

Personally, I would love to see people flying expose against me. Unless it is on a Decimator.

I admit that Predator is cheaper by its self,but I would then stick a heavy laser cannon on Brath to inflect more damage instead of an ion cannon. We are back at ten points again and i am out of the ability to ion my opponet. There is also the fact that a range 1 I am rolling five dice, even if I let my opponet roll one additional defence die at range 3. As for the use and the stress I am not that conserned as defenders have 17 different manuvers, hard turns 1 and 2 are red, all straights are green, and the rest are white. While having a stress token is bothersome,removing them at later time is an option. That is what the Exspose build gives me, one turn I can play a heavy uncloaked Phantom, next I have an imperal ion boat, or at the very least I have a PS8 defender.

In the end it is basicly the ability to pick one of two diffrent builds:

Superman-Raxler Brath+Predator+Heavy Laser Cannon=Consestent reliable damage

vs.

Batman-Rexler Brath+Exspose+Exspirmental Interface+Ion Cannon=A little harder to fly but can hit just as hard, sometimes harder, and with more attack optoions.

Why would you have to add on an HLC? First of all. Predator works great with ion cannon.

And why would you want to use Rexler as an ion platform anyway. Makes his ability rather weaker.

And finally, I'm not sure why you would want to float stress from turn to turn on Rexler. Completely invalidates his special ability.

Seems bad.

Whatever. I'm not here to convince you never to use Expose.

I'm here to give feedback on good suggested uses for expose by weeding out the bad ones...like ion can on Rexler...

But you do you. If you enjoy it, then keep on trucking. I just wouldn't expect it to be competitive.
