Maybe it was just me but when I was on my phone on Friday I saw the Armada announcement on Facebook but didn't see it was a new game and just saw an ISD in a box and

my first thoughts were why didn't FFG wait until gencon to announce this (I will cover that later)

my second thought and the one that will consume this post was the forums, I couldn't see the scale but imagined it was a different scale and thought was imagining all the gnashing of teeth going on in the forums. It had me in tears (laughing) when I was driving home I was imagining the zombie apocalypse was about to start with all the scale rage that goes on in the forums.

As you can imagine when I did check the forums when I got home I was disappointed (about the lack of rage) and pretty happy (I think I will prefer Armada more)

so here are my questions did anyone else have a similar experience?

Oh and I guess they didn't want to announce this at Gencon because they don't want to overshadow the big release they have planned for Gencon

i didn't see the announcement until late last night.. i too am surprised it hasn't eaten these forums alive. I'll probably end up playing both games. hey speaking of zombie apocalypse, i actually kickstarted my own zombie table top war game if anyone is interested, free to download and can use any 28mm minis you might already have.. ha.

It came fast and furious at the announcement. Once it was determined that there is a now a whole forum for armada speculation and questions, it's thankfully died down to just armada-related-to-x-wing comments.

yeah i just noticed the new forum seciton. I took this opportunity to friend the moderator "ffgjosh" who has the pinned post over there. never know what might happen. might drop him a line about those sub forum sections... hehe.
