Home made scanrio; cost of 2 hp Academy Pilots?

In jest I said in here: http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/112940-imperial-pilot-ability/#entry1192160 that I'd not mind 2 hp Tie fighters.

But obviously the point cost was a stab/guess at things.

Now; for a home made scenario what *would* be reasonable?

Stats; Academy Pilot bĂșt with 2 hp. (as opposed to the normal 3 hp)

No modifications allowed. (no stealth device for example!)

Is 9 points (my guess initially) reasonable?

Or should it be 10? One hp less still means the same 2 red dice so...

Thoughts?

That is the cost of a hull upgrade and you are making two limitations so it seems reasonable to me, but play test it, the game is balanced by squad, not units, it could be game breaking.

I think 10, if only because you could then only field 10, or 8 with Howlrunner. With 9 you'd get a swarm of 9 Flight Schoolers with Howlrunner.

Either way, brutal. (Brutal that is, until 2 A-Wings show up with Assault Missiles :P).

MathWing says 9.7 - 9.8, so 10 points. You could possibly get away with them being 9 points at PS0, but that would still be a better value than the Academy TIE.

FYI, cost should be proportional to roughly the square root of attack*durability.

12*(2/3)^0.5 = 9.8.

Thnx. I'll try it with 10 at first. Sounds reasonable.

For a lot of scenarios I run "tie droids":

Same stats as reg ties but 2hp

Immune to stress

Immune to non-droid pilot abilities

TL/BR/Evade only actions

Call em 10pts and 10 of them in a list is pretty balanced.
