a thought about the Lambda shuttle

After checking out a model build, where a Lambda was used to help show size of the ship being built.. I had a random thought.

And was wondering if anyone else might have the same thought..

Is the magnificent Albino Cosmic Manatee... too large as a model?

I ask because in the movie, Han, chewie and crew seem to make that cockpit look cramped, even commenting on it ( "No Chewie, I don't think they had Wookiees in mind when they made it" ).... yet the model looks like it supports more seats and space.. I mean doesn't it seem to look like it would hold 6 seats in the very front row...

Just a thought after this observation....

The pics are nice and the link with the maps are great, used to go there years ago for RPG info..

But looking at that stuff only confirms my view, the cockpit looks too large...

I don't know.. just somethong that popped into my head.. thanks for the responses though, I appreciate it..

I have always wondered about how to sit in the cockpit though:

The 'exterior set model' they build of part of the Lambda for those scenes actually has quite a few problems from the 'interior cockpit' set and the exterior (filming) model.

They didn't actually build full-scale models of the craft from the film, after all, for all interior and exterior filming needs! Sometimes, that crops up in odd ways...

Yeah, I know from other sites and boards this was an issue, I think continuity didn't, seem to be a big issue back then, only now when we fan boys get together and pick it apart.. lol

Well, what I was getting at, is that the movie or pictures make it look small. While the model seems to confirm that the pictures look small, where they actually should be larger.. there should be massive amounts of space inside there..
