Just looking for some kind of website, where all current ships are reviewed, compared, rated and somehow ranked. Any advice?

Really no such site.

All the ships are good, but good in different ways. Some are only worth getting 1 of, like the Tie Advanced or HWK to a point.

You can't really rank X-Wing ships, because how they do depends so much on what upgrades they have and the list you're playing.

The Metal Bikini (posting from my phone, so sorry for the lack of a link) does mini-reviews of most things.

I will say, though, that something like a strict ordering of ships in terms of value isn't really possible. There's a bottom tier (Maarek Stele and the generic TIE Advanced pilots), a middle tier, and an upper tier--with ships moving back and forth between those top two tiers depending on what you're likely to face.

If what you want to know is how a ship functions in a particular context, then you're already in the right place. Ask away.

There are some people that tries to rank ships mathematically (MajorJuggler uses statistical analyzis). I am coding a simulator that ranks ships by simulated match ups. And others tries to judge popularity, etc. It is not impossible but it is difficult. :-)

Edit: a better resource is the actual data of what ships have been used successfully at 2014 Regionals, although the two tend to line up pretty closely anyway. There is a ton of information here:
