Okay does anyone have a suggestion on how I can increase the accusations during the game? My playing group is super cooperative and almost enjoys just playing against the crisis card rather than creating a paranoid atmosphere. The group tends to always throw on color or not throw in at all if we have nothing to contribute. However this makes detecting the cylons very easy before and after the Sleeper Agent phase as a slight variation in behavior results in a briging.
It kinda makes for a boring game until that last few jumps. Any help? Do most people flush their cylons out easily and am I mistaken in thinking the cylon players should be able to be hidden better? Is it worth throwing off color every few skill checks just to potentially cover my tracks even if I am human?
Players too into co-op, not suspicious enough
Why are your cylons changing behavior? Throwing in bad cards obviously is not going to win the game, it's going to get your brigged. Your cylons should play more subtly. Play human, maybe somewhat sub-optimally, until you get a really good opportunity to hose the humans. Then do it and reveal ASAP. The paranoia will come from not knowing who to trust, cuz it looks like everyone is human! There are some articles on the site here that talk about player strategies.
I think you are correct about not playing subtly enough. I looked back over the NEWS article about tactics and think our Cylons teams just needs to work at sowing more subtle discord (pushing bad decisions or working on streaching resources thin).
This helped me realize the error of my ways as a Cylon player: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=317
I post it because the thread still seems to be generating hits. I should have looked the news section.
