Took out the tools and some paints, to see if I could make the venerable Rebel Convoy look a little more updated. I didn't want to make them look too dilapidated, this is a Rebel Convoy after all not just a random collection of smugglers on a cargo run. At the same time, this IS the Rebel Alliance not the Imperial Navy so a certain amount of wear and tear was in order. I did not use any electronics/etc., just painting and a bit of creative modeling to create the translucent engine effects. I hope you like it.

Nicely done, what did you do to make the engine parts you added..

Trimmed flight stands, opened up the engines by trimming away a bottom strut and put it inside. After replacing the strut and allowing it to dry, I painted the underside only of the clear stands, to allow the colors to show through and give the effect depth.

Nice trick, works very well.
