Armada

By 2P51, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Looks awesome! And confusing. But like most FF games I've played, I'm sure one play-through will cure the confusion :)

What a great piece of art on the announcement.

I was expecting this, just not this soon.

It looks really cool, but it does suggest we won't see an announcement of the F&D Beta today. Bummer.

Oooh I want I want I want! Now to figure out how to get the $100 to but it while still keeping up with the RPG...

Also its interesting that they are including a Victory class Star Destroyer with it rather then an Imperial class, and not including the MC80 either.

The game appears to only come with two squadron per side and both the Victory and Neb can carry two each. An ISD would need six squadrons.

Remember that flippant post about the Ramen and Hot Sauce from a couple of days ago? Yeah, that just became my life. :)

If the ships are in scale, the ISD is gonna be goddamned MASSIVE. That's at least twice the length of the VSD model.

Not quite closer to 1.75 times unless FFG increased the ISDs length or made the VSD smaller. Still very large though, with the VSD being 75 percent the length of the MC80.and the MC80 having 75 percent the length of a Imperial class Star Destroyer.

But there's no way they would do a Star Wars game like this without the MC80 or ISD so models for them are inevitable

They gotta save something for expansions. Thats why how they handled the Y-wings and TIE x1 at launch.

The description says the pack includes "10 unpainted squadrons".

Although I think $100 is pretty steep for only 3 painted minis...

Looks like fun, I'll definitely pick it up. Is it just me, or does the CR-90 look oversized compared to the Nebulon-B?

I should have read more closely before posting. The Neb holds two squadrons, the CR90 has one and the Victory has three. That still adds up to six and not ten.

The CR90 looks about twice as large as it should be.

You've more squadrons left over for when you buy the expansion ships. ;)

I wonder if the CR90 carrier varient from Armada will be in AoR or EoE.

I don't see the cr90 as being a carrier, so much as a command ship that issues orders to the fighters.

The mechanics of the game don't necessarily mean that the cr90 carries the fighters internally, only that the game piece can activate squadrons.
