There is a great piece of art depicting two distinct types of fighters on page 109 of Sons of Fortune...wondering if anybody knows what types they are supposed to be. They don't really look like the existing drawings of the LAF or HLAF fighters we've seen before in WEG. I know that sometimes they just grab stock images out of the archives for these books so they might not even be the fighters described in the chapter.

If no one knows you can email the art department and they will tell you.

They talked about some of the artwork during the Order 66 episode discussing Sons of Fortune. I can't remember whether or not they specifically discussed this piece, but it's worth a listen either way.

I did not listen to that episode yesterday night and no, they don't mention the artwork on the starfighters on p.109. . Although i couldn't surely tell because I didn't listen to the order 66 podcast.

I figured this out once and promptly forgot. I'd also be interested in finding out the answer.

As per 2P51's suggestion, I sent an email to the art dept. I'll post up the answer here if I get one.

I always figured that the one in the foreground (and to the left in the rear row) was the HLAF-500. The one on the right, just below the ship that's taking off, would be the LAF-250. And even though I can't make the remaining one (taking off) match the text description for anything else, I just figured it was the Pocket Patrol Boat.

But I'll be looking forward to seeing the response here, because that picture has been bugging me too.
