Desperate Alliance

By Dwarf king Bronze beard, in Strategy and deck-building

So i want to know how you play this card, when you use it in your deck?

I think this is kind of cool card, but i haven´t figured out any other ideas than give Nori to another player and then he could buy couple dwarf allies to use Nori´s ability to lower his threat by couple of times and maybe get some resources back, if he could use Gloin ally to give Nori 2 coins.

So how you guys use this card (or do you even use it?).

Just give a lore Aragorn to another player in refresh and reduce his threat then get Aragorn back ready to reduce your threat. Since Aragorn one per game ability trigger once per each player according to FAQ

I've never really looked before, but there's a fair few heroes and attachments with limited abilities that Desperate Alliance would mean you could trigger it twice.

A couple of thoughts off the top of my head:

  • Eowyn with Protector of Lorien - in a two player game you could boost her willpower by 10 (if you both had enough cards that is!) for a massive questing push.
  • Beregond with Gondorian Shield, Protector of Lorien and Blood of Numenor could get to ridiculous defense levels. He's already Sentinel so he could still defend for you once you'd passed him over.
  • Boost Eomer's attack to 7 (9 with Firefoot) by passing him over between two characters leaving play.

Only the "one per game" limit are not cards specific, other limit are cards specific and should not reset their limit if it change player.

I'm not totally sure what the difference is, but ok.
