Morning guys,
Last night we were meant to have a 2 v 2. Myself and a friend as Imperial vs my brothers as Rebels.
Friend couldn't make it, so I said I'd take them both on! Not sure why. Guess I couldn't really lose. If I did 'it was against 2' and if I won it would be great.
I lined up with 8x AP TIEs, 2x Delta Defenders + Hull Upgrade (didn't have enough shield cards) and Soontir Fel +Royal Guard + PTL + Shield Upgrade + Targeting Computer.
My brothers lined up with a YT, 3x E-Wings and a B-Wing. Bar Han Solo and Etahn I couldn't tell you pilots.
I figured they'd have to pick a group really, and they did.....
This was about a third of the way through. The TIEs had mainly stayed out of it and had turned hard to come barrelling in! Soontir bought it pretty soon after this without doing anything. Think I should have used him as a flanker. Defenders were K turning around and soaking up hits whilst the two TIEs on the right were annoying the B-Wing, even though I'd lost one of them quite quickly.
The Falcon was losing it's shields though, and the E's had some important decisions to make.
The E's k turned soon after but got destroyed by a barrage of TIE lasers and the higher Defender. The lower Defender contributed towards the Falcon's demise (with help from the TIEs who had a lot of the board covered in firing arcs). They then peeled off to hunt down the one E who zoomed out of the hot zone! Got him into a corner and took him out.
I was left with 5 TIEs from my initial 11 ships.
My bros weren't expecting such a big TIE swarm from what I gather. Maybe more Interceptors so I could get some upgrades on them. But I'm pleased how the plan worked out considering my flying of large numbers is generally terrible!
