SCC Results

By MegaGeese, in UFS General Discussion

I'm dying to hear about it, myself. I'm hoping Scuba comes on sometime and gives us more info.

From what I know, however, Mr. Ryan Riley/Havoc took home all the marbles with Ibuki in a knock-down, drag-out match in the finals against a Hanzo deck. I don't have any other info, just thought people might be interested.

I've leave the two extremely awesometastic feats/events/occurences that Scuba told me about of that match to a different teller. All I will say is that I've not laughed so hard about UFS plays in a LONG time.

**** YOU

**** ME FOR CHECKING THE FORUMS RIGHT BEFORE I GO TO BED

I swear, if I dream about oofs, I'm gonna hunt you down and hurt you D:<

as much as I'm scarred from even seeing Ibuki's name, I gotta say, I'm pretty pleased to see her back. Mostly, we lost Suzaku, so I'd assumed most people had just left her, but alas, it seems she's finally back :)

While I might be wrong, I wouldn't be surprised if Havoc was running the Midnight Pleasure build he had ran before.

The more competition for me to get involved with at Worlds, the merrier! =)

6th place with astaroth. yay

i dont want to go into details as iam about to head out the door for Teams, but I was playing the Hanzo deck, went undefeated all day, 2-0 everyone except 2 matches, those were 2-1. The fight with Ryan was absolutely amazing, we were both so tired and drained from little sleep and playing all day that we were both making mistakes and bad decisions, i do have to say i couldnt have lost it to a better person, i havent played since november of last year and to walk in after not playing for 6 months and run the table, swiss champ, then go all the way to finals wasnt a bad deal, Ryan is a hell of a player....he deserved it, he wanted it and he took it, but not without a fight....amazing game...amazing people...you guys who couldnt come missed out....

see you guys at nats!

How many people were in attendance?

If I'm not mistaken, it was about 20.

Our team (Team Carnage con Queso) got 2nd in teams with Ivy, Astrid and Anakaris.

That Ivy deck is a beast. We are glad we traded our souls for Path of the Master. lol

As I'm currently tuning an Ibuki deck, I wouldnt mind seeing the general strategy on the one that got into top 4 :) That is, as long as the player didnt mind.

I can ask Scuba if he has my decklist still; sadly I took some cards out of it to rebuild Hilde and to build an Algol (which is also kind of sick with Path of the Master and Alshain Najm).

Ill dig up the deck lists tonight and post it if anyone wants the other just let me know and I will ask the players who created them .

Thankz for the info guys, and to those that have already posted personal reports of the weekend.

Couple questions...

1. Where is Chun-li?

2. I'm doing the Blanka thing for some upcoming tournies, he is one of my favorite Street Fighters... Any chance we could get that decklist posted? (I'm always curious if minds are thinking alike across the metas).

Congrats to the Ibuki winner, she is beast even without Suz,... and to the Hanzo, I trust all of the decks were quite refined and yet evil vs. evil managed to top finish ^^ yikes!!!

Yeah, Congrats to everyone who did well :)

On a second note, 3 out of 4 of the people I played got top 8

I got 10th place :( . I needed a draw against Havoc/Ryan, but he needed a win so we played it out and he got me after i took him to 5 and I made the mistake of olcadaning a second Anti-K (i swapped a BRT for anti-k, and should have left whatever the second card was.).

I had a ton of fun with everyone I played, Ryan that deck was a beast.

She was strung-out on oxycotton and missed her flight.

It's possible people feared diversity, and sandbagging is...meh...

possibly people were tired of Spikes and ran everyone and their mother ran RF/ML/KB

Good show! That Top 8 is crazily diversed!

Hopefully I'll plan smarter so I'll be able to attend next year.
