The Prometheus and The Lunar Cannon

By Roachmill, in Cosmic Encounter

I do like these two techs but i do not like the tokens.

I mean come on The Prometheus is just weird looking and unpractical to move around.

Why didnt they do a nice plastic ship. Just a big saucer, like a mothership, that could still stack smaller ships on top.

I dont mind the Lunar cannnon token that much. I dont think it looks very good but still it serves its function.

So please FFG, please, make a nice plastic prometheus for the expansion, and maybe if you like a nice plastic artillery piece for the lunar cannon.

I'm guessing they didn't want to put too much stock in components that are, after all, optional. But they could have at least put the Prometheus on a oval instead of a rectangle.

I’m with you. The Lunar Cannon doesn’t bother me but the Prometheus should be a plastic ship. A big golden ship...

Yeah...that sounds really nice...a big golden saucer...

Well you can go down to Hobby Lobby and find something shaped sorta right and paint it I guess. Or maybe the local gaming store and find one of the miniatures from one of the space combat games.

We've done similar projects over the years to make ships that would stack instead of using the little cardboard pieces from Eon. It's amazing what you can find in the dollhouse section of a hobby store.

I remember seeing a ship that someone had painted gold in the CE photos on BGG - his copy shipped with an extra ship in one of the colors, so he lucked out... it was a nice paint job, too.
