speculation on the YT-2400 Upgrades

By Mace Windu, in X-Wing

there are 13 upgrade cards that are in the YT-2400 expansion pack. Currently 8 are known or reprints:

Lando Crew

Gunner

Merc Co-Pilot

Proton Rocket

Dash Crew

Stay on Target

Heavy Laser Cannon

Outrider Title

5 Remaining unknowns

Unique Crew Card: Appears to be a robot, I'm not up to the play on Robot Crew that Dash Rendar flew with but I'm sure someone will be able to figure it out.

Unique EPT: Starts with the letters Lon... and has a pic of a firespray on it, not much to go on.

Non-Unique Modification: Starts with Col..... Mea...... again not much to go on. more than likely from previous reveal pics that the flipped card is a duplicate of this card.

The last one is the one that has piqued my interest. no symbol in the bottom left corner would indicate either a title or a modification, it cant be a modification as the word "modification" is too long and it doesn't appear to say the word title either (refer to the 2 cards on either side of the pic in todays article). The picture also appears to be a blue mon-calamari face.

could it be there is a new card type? (or is there an obvious solution I'm neglecting to see?)

It is Unique and the name starts with Expe..... Int.... and has some other text, some of which clearly grants and action to the ship it is attached to.

Any guesses as to what any of the unknown cards could be?

the one is Counter Measures.. from what I can make out and I believe what has been speculated before.. the droid is Rendar's Droid.. don't remember his name..

yes someone already did this a while ago..

I think there was some speculation based on the preview in French that suggested that "lon..." was probably "lone wolf"

the Droid is called Leebo I believe. He is also one of the Pilots, and Eaden Vrill is probably the other Pilot.

Counter Measures is a modification as is the 'Exp... Int' (You can just see the M in the top line.) It reads something like Once per... perform... And the a bold work that is probably Action:

Also counter Measures would appear to nave YT-2400 Only after Modification due to the long line. Or perhaps Large Ship Only.

Yes I think Counter Measures would make sense, though what it does seem to be quite complex with several lines of text.

Upon further inspection of the images I think judging from the text size The EPT is called 'Loner' with the ability starting with the word "When".

The unknown new card that grants an action would appear to be called "Expert Intel" I'm still keen to find out what it is as its not a title or a modification.

Edit: upon further inspection of existing modifications the word modification is quite small and it does seem that the "Expert Intel" Card is just a regular modification. as stated above the "Counter Measures" Modification is likely a YT-2400 Mod only.

Also, I do know that the droid is Leebo and the PS 2 ship name is Wild Space Pilot.

As for Countermeasures, someone at my store said he saw it at the FFG store in the back. Not sure whether to believe him or not.

He stated it was a modification. I'm paraphrasing here.

Modifcation

At the start of the Combat phase, you may remove all lockon's from your ship. And add the value of the number of lockon's removed to your agility till the end of the turn. Then discard this card.

I think there was some speculation based on the preview in French that suggested that "lon..." was probably "lone wolf"

That thread is here. In particular, the card that starts with "Lon..." in English starts with "Loup..." in French. Seriously, read the whole thing.

I'm still not convinced about Love Wolf, doesn't it look like the word "wolf" would be squished up on the right hand side? Also, couldn't that "Loup" be "Lour"?

Lone Wolf is the suggested name for the game's second unique EPT. Loup is French for wolf, and the French card starting with Loup backs up Lone Wolf.

Definitely a unique upgrade. Could also be "Loner" or something in that regard, but I'd guess Lone Wolf is right as I have seen the French Version and Loup is definitely the first part, and in French, nouns come before the adjectives they describe.

Now, I am quite interested in that Counter Measures card, particularly if its anything like that guy up thread said.
