Ramirez's Drone of Gunnery

By Gdank, in Tannhauser

Ok, am I missing something, but what is this drone for ?

As far as I can tell it has no weapon listed anywhere ... except for the desciptive text under Ramirez's Remote Control, and can only use the 1 Item that it comes with - the NOS.

I must be missing something important, but I can't see what .... anyone give some advice on what to do with the little fella ?

Was there meant to be a rules pack for the Hound Dog as well as Ramirez's ?

Edit: if it just has an automatic weapon ... then damm it needs to be clearly show better .... just having "15mm automatic guns" under it's fluff text for the Remote Control isn't clear enough imho.

I am not going to try to sound like an expert on this as I am not, so I will answer with quotes from the Tannbunker Forum where this was recently discussed:

One more question to gregy12. I think FFG made an error with the Hound DOG minimum range' date=' it is listed as 2 spaces. In the french version it says there must 2 spaces [b']between[/b] attacker and target. This would make it's minimum range 3 spaces, in the way the english rules handle ranges (this is one of two instances I am aware of where the rules differ). We have been playing it with a range of 3 spaces (2 spaces between attacker and target) because in the original french rules the Hound DOG is considered an Automatic Weapon (see pg. 22 9.3 FFG rules). Any info would help!
The weapon of the HOung DOg is an automatical one (it's a FMG).
We have been playing it with a range of 3 spaces (2 spaces between attacker and target) is ... RIGHT[/quote']

It said it has an automatic flash gun I believe. So if you know what those two things are there shouldn't be a problem

Problem is that it's only discription of what weapon it has, is under the fluff text on the remote control, not on any card or item main rules text.

Ok, lets say it has an automatic weapon ... it has a movement 1, and a once per game of Movement 4. So is it meant for defence ? ... I just can't see a majot use for it atm.

I've got a game tomorrow night, and I'll use it then to see what it's like in game, rather than just theroy.

All the rules are on the back of the Hound DOG card.

In summary, it moves 1 space after every character 's Sequence, and can attack as a mobile Automatic Weapon on Ramirez's turn as his attack.

The benefit is, it's a remote control gun that attacks opponents without Ramirez being targeted.

Look at the back of the DOG card like Little Wars said. All of its rules are there.

Hey folks got a couple question's about Ramirez' little buddy here.

My little guy and I got a game in today. He did really well and actually picked out a few attributes for each of the characters without me helping 'cause these look cool dad.' Well, with this little drone and Gregori - um it was a near failure for the 13th in a capture the flag in the crypt game.

Now to the questions:

1. Is there a maximum weapon range for this drone? Understand the minimum and actually we figured out that there had to be two spaces between based upon the nature. But, is there a maximum distance within the line of sight circles?

2. Also, is there a maximum distance that the drone can wander away from Ramirez? Doesn't seem to say that there is, but was wondering as it could put the drone across the board from anyone.

Probably should go search the Bunker for additional info, but always like starting y posts here.

Thanks

R

Maybe that link will work this way.

Sometimes it helps to look at the stuff you buy before making silly questions.

I appreciate what you are saying - no need to come in like a 'bulldozer'

People sometimes need to ask silly questions. Maybe they missed a paragraph - failed to turn a page. It happens??

Peace

But silly questions can be avoided if folks just took the time to read the rules more carefully, come to their own conclusions and play the game. If it still is not registering then one asks a valid question than just shooting from the hip. Just saying. lengua.gif

Have you ever played ASL? Advance Squad Leader?

I have - and in so doing - I know what it is to miss a rule

300 plus pages - you may forgive me? For missing a rule or not??

Over to you lengua.gif

Yes I have. But Tannhauser doesn't have as many rules. So don't understand how you can compare the two. Worst comparison ever. :P

It may not have as many rules - but it is translated from a foreign (French) tongue

So Bleeugh to you! gui%C3%B1o.gif
