VI is better on Turr in my opinion.

personally I don't like VI on Turr, if you use the PtL on him and wait until after your attack, you can boost and BR away, or Boost and Evade.. much better combo in my opinion..
Over all, low fire power, low hit points, superior manuverability. It's really fun to fly, you can devastate small ships. But one falcon + gunner/Luke can give you a very bad day.
I agree with VI on Turr, there is a lot of lists that run high ps killers, getting above 8 to beat a Non - VI Wes Jansen or tie Wedge/Han/Fel is huge with his ability... well not really han, turret and what-not.
Try it out, then try the 4 royal guards with PTL. It's not as flashy, but I believe will give you more predictable results.
Perhaps if you tried to throw a phantom in there... profit?
Edited by FrazioWith only 12 HP, you'd better spend a lot of time practicing your maneuvering. I hear TIE/In's called "squishy" for a reason. One unfortunate, combined attack, and you could be hurting very badly.
Keeping in mind that this type of build is not really tourney worthy, I think the best way to run it (imo) is:
Fel w/ PtL, RGT, TC & SD or HU
Turr w/ VI & HU
Jax / PtL, RGT, SU & HU
You'll lose to most falcon builds and have to be really careful against swarms, but 3 or 4 rebel small ships are lambs to slaughter...
tried the vi on turr, original and the ptl on jax. won against 3 rgts with a doom shuttle. luck was on my side a bit, the phantom is something that I want to get better at dancing in general. before I experiment with. the falcon turret is a huge problem for lots of builds. going to try against a swarm next go round.
VI is better on Turr in my opinion.
PTL on both Fel and Jax is good.
personal preference really, i've found PTL far more useful on turr over VI
PTL saves him in the situations where he's forced to turtle up with focus evade against 360 weapons and against ships with higher pilot skill
VI won't do anything if you're still getting shot

While it's been a fun list, it's not served me well. Part of it is probably because I'm not doing it right, but they're just SO fragile. That's my main beef with squints. They're really awesome when you opponent is dealing with something else.

True. I had also done the same build but with a Saber Squadron with Wingman. I put Fell's Wrath back in because I liked the PS being 7, 7, 5, 5. I feel that gives me options when flying in formation. Also, it went with the apocalypse theme. ![]()
But, yeah. I've not mastered that list.

I've been running:
Soontir - PtL, hull
Turr - VI
Whisper - VI, ACD, AdvS
Very slippery, but turrets destroy it & I've had a few issues with time limits (very unlike me as I play very fast) as it's generally running away before heading back in.
Fun, especially against other high PS lists, but not tournament worthy I think.
