I was on a long trip the other day and was thinking about trolls and the difference between being a deliberate troll and actually trying to contribute but being really bad at communicating, and I was thinking "well, someone who was trying would come across like this....., but someone who actually just wanted to provoke a reaction would do.... and then I spent a couple seconds and thought of the most horrific thing one could post on this board.

and then I though, heh, that is actually really funny, in a sick twisted way, I think I'll share it.

This is what I came up with.

No, a real troll would try and be serious about it and defend the idea (and possibly call people names when they disagreed). That's why I went out of my way to really emphasize that it was a joke.

Reading that post was like creeping up to the scene of a horrific accident: you know you don't want to see the victim, all the signs tell you to stay away, you have every opportunity to back out and go home unscathed, yet some indefinable force from your subconscious draws you ever closer... You peer under the blanket or behind the curtain, & you are never quite the same again...

On the plus side, the mental image of Jar Jar Binks dressed as Hamlet will keep me laughing for hours
