Why not put up a few of your own builds first for critique?
Here is what I have so far
Corran with PTL, fcs, eu, r7-t1
Biggs with R2-D2, SU
Craken
Total 99
If you run a tanky expensive Biggs draw their fire is really good.
I'd recommend running him like this:
Corran Horn (35)
-R7-T1 (3)
-Marksmanship (3)
Airen Cracken (19)
-Ion Pulse missiles (3)
-Swarm Tactics (2)
-Munitions Failsafe (1)
Tala Squadron Pilot X2 (26)
-Ion Pulse Missiles (6)
-Munitions Failsafe (2)
100 Points that uses the mini z swarm as the anvil to Corran's hammer, using the droid to keep him out of arc and with a target lock or using marksmanship to modify both attacks when you've outmaneuvred them.

R7-T1 and EU don't really go well together, either you're using one, or the other, but that's a few points you're not using.
Same with FCS, you'll ideally be using R7-T1 to get a lock and a boost. You'd probably end up using half, if that of the 'mech's abilities.
And PTL to stress him out? Then your downtime the next turn will be spent with one of four green maneuvers and that's making you predictable as well as toothless.
So, starting with Corran's droid slot, let's give him an R2 unit, doubling your green maneuvers to 8. This for instance gives you the option to get out of Dodge in your downtime while going green to align yourself properly for an attack run.
EPT wise, you've gone for PTL to presumably activate a droid and a barrel roll. I'd personally go for Marksmanship because it is, offensively, much better than Focus for Corran as it works on all his attacks.
Depending on points left over you might choose Sensor Jammer over FCS, to boost his defense.
Leaves us with 57 to 59 points for extra ships. Let's go with 57 for initiative or SJ, see if we can keep those 2 points available.
Cracken I have no problem with, he might have a use for Elusiveness to stay alive long enough for his ability to come into play more than a few times.
But that leaves you with, thus far, a bit of a squishy squad. I suggest beefing it up with an ORS, that should also help with coralling enemies into kill zones for Corran, and he was always around smugglers, fluffwise.
If we give the ORS an IA, Navigator and APL to make him an effective blocker we have 3 points left. That could be used to put Cracken or Corran in a stronger ship, buy an IPM or something.
I'd end up with:
Here you can fly Corran around, liberally using K-turns on his downtime to get out of arc while having a lot of green available to him to shed that stress and then activating his marksmanship.
Cracken will shoot first, passing another action to Corran, perhaps to barrel roll into arc or getting a target lock, his elusiveness might be too much of a deterrent to have him be the first target.
The ORS will get in everbody's way and make a nuisance of himself, his IA will make it easier to decide on the actions for your killers.
Been flying Imps since the start and thought I'd take a stab at Corran:
Corran (35)
FCS(2)
Marksmanship(3)
R5-P9(3)
Blue Squadron (22)
FCS(2)
HLC(7)
Bandit Squadron(12)
Bandit Squadron(12)
Total: 98
Deployment: The Z's in front of either the B-Wing or Corran. Corran or B-Wing as flanker. Gives opponent two choices of targets with high offense potential.
R5-P9 takes a focus to work..but it also means Corran can use all his non-red maneuvers and still heal a shield, ideally on turns when he's coming back around...or for getting the heck out of dodge in a furball situation.
Marksmanship+TL on each shot in a double-tap situation.
I thought about an arc-dodging build...but I fly Interceptors all the time and want to try something a bit different.
Option to swap out R5-P9 for R2-D2...I just don't see Corran as wanting to stick in a knife-fight that much...unless he's behind them. ![]()
What about:
Corran w/ FCS
Etahn w/ FCS
Wedge
Really good all-around list.
