Ion heavy to mess with Phantoms and Falcons. I could always run 3 B's instead of the one Y and throw in a Z. Felt like the 360 threat was worth it.

I think I'd be very scared to run this list against a list that features Predator, and there are a lot of lists out there right now featuring Predator. I do like the use of ions, though.

After a bit more thought, here's how I'd fix the Predator vulnerability: drop Advanced Sensors from the build, freeing up 6 points. Make the Blues into Daggers, leaving 2 points, and turn Gold into Roark. (That's a substitution I make a lot, actually.) Then turn the Rookie into Cracken, freeing up 2 more points.

So now it's Dagger + Ion/Dagger + Ion/Roark + Ion Turret/Cracken, with 3 points left for upgrades. I'd be tempted to add Wingman, Squad Leader, or Swarm Tactics to Cracken, plus Nien on Roark, but there are other good options too.

Those all sound great but don't you run into maneuver issues with the terrible dial of the HWK?

There are so many predator users out there Chris Hansen is investigating the game, bad time to play teenagers.

Another option would be to drop the Advanced Sensors, freeing up 6 points. Then replace the Rookie with an Outer Rim Smuggler. Then, you can use the massive ORS to block movement and foul formations. Further, you can ion craft and force them to crash into the ORS, robbing them of their actions and potentially keeping them on an asteroid.

I don't like thye ION Cannons, I prefer the autoblasters or Heavy Laser Cannons, greettings.
