Backstabber + Engine Upgrade, Lots of fun at only 20 points. Current choice.
At 21 Mauler+ Opportunist brought joy to a game by rolling 5 hits against a Phantom.
What else should I be considering?
The core of the squad is Rexler+VI+HLC + SD & Soontir + PTL + TC
I would put predator on rexler so he can better use his pilot ability. I would also drop SD on rexlar
two pretty expensive ships, one being rather fragile is tough, you are setting yourself up with a 3 ship list with two (soontir and other) being really fragile.

While you do see a PS improvement I cringe when I see a TIE Fighter with an Engine Upgrade on it. For the 20 points you spend on Backstabber+EU you could have an Avenger; it gives up 3 points of PS but always gets that added attack die and has more "green" on the dial should stress become an issue. Mauler w/ Opportunist brings up similar thoughts.
I have flown Night beast with an E.U. a couple of times. Green move plus boost and a focus is fun to do.

Thank you for the inputs. I haven't been able to use Rexler's abbility yet, mainly because I'm flyng against imps most of the time and saving F for deffense. PS 10 is what I was aiming for as it's probably the best imperial antiphantom/antiYT out there.

The way deployment goes Soontir and Brath fly together and BS comes from the other corner with straight 5 + Boost, this way he gets extra die 100% of the shots.
EU is a very flexible mod as help offense by, even when flanking, point to the right ship. Focus fire early is what makes my list effective.
It also helps navigating asteroid field, where I like to fight as decloaking options are limited.
