Honestly, I think any and all point formulas have been off since Wave 3.
That depends if you're trying to figure out the points listed on the card, or the actual value of what its worth. And also what your methods are. ![]()
A 2/2/5/5 stat line is worth ~20 points at PS1.
Some comparisons:
ship PS1 cost stat value stat efficiency
named YT-1300 37 25.9 70%
ORS YT-1300 27 16.9 62.4%
YT-2400 29 (?) 19.8 68.1% (?)
VT-49 38 25.1 66% (?)
There's lots we don't know, not the least of which is the cost of the cheapest ships and the dial. But the stat line efficiency looks to be around the same ballpark as the other two turreted ships that we already have. The ORS efficiency is relativly low, and it hardly get used. The named YT-1300 efficiency is higher, and obviously sees a lot of use. The wave 5 ships will probably fall somewhere in the middle, and probably closer to the named YT-1300, by the looks of it.
I'm thinking the YT-2400 may end up being the better deal, especially with a cannon slot on a 2 attack ship, HUGE boost there. We'll have to wait and see the dials and point costs.
Oh, and amusingly, the YT-2400 is more durable than the VT-49. ~2.6x a TIE fighter vs ~2.34.
