Anyone know where I can get new plastic posts for my minis?

I'm breaking mine at an alarming rate. I'm pretty sure both my falcon posts are just super glue at this point.

I have talked to quite a few people who have called FFG and they have sent them to them. I know I purchased a YT that did not come with a base and they sent me a new one right away. FFG has pretty solid customer service.

That being said, it would be great if they sold peg in bags of 50 on their site!

Take my money. Seriously.

I'd love to see them do that, sell pegs and bases.

I lost 2 or 3 of mine, and they sent me replacements, which is killer for them to do. But I'd be happy to buy some rather then ask them for replacements.

My guess is that it actually costs more to package and market a peg set than it does to just send out replacements when requested. And the goodwill that it generates to do it that way is priceless.

my large base pegs have taken a hammering and im struggling to field 3 large based ships in the same squad now :( time for me to make contact with FFG customer service about replacement pegs!

I had the same problem, and simply asked FFG if I could purchase replacements. They quickly sent me replacements at no charge.

Those large pegs are pretty brittle. Super glue is your friend there.

Is this mostly an issue with the large ship pegs?

I've not lost or broken any pegs (yet). As such, I'm drowning in small ship pegs, because I only use 3-7 of them at any given time (double that for solo and epic games).

Yes and no... It's an issue for all the pegs, they are pretty well made but are still thin plastic, so they're all subject to breaking. Given the thickness of the large ship pegs, I don't think they're under more stress then the small ship ones.

But as you point out, most of us have so many pegs we'll never need them all, which isn't true of large ships.

The only reason I found out I was missing basses was because after wave 4 I wanted to post a picture of my whole collection on the table.

I've seen players switch over to brass rods. Try breaking that.

What about the mooting peg that actually fits into and is a part of the miniature itself? If that breaks you're really screwed. Has anybody heard of FFG providing some of those that you can just reattach to the miniature itself?

I'm sure you could get those as well, R22.

You can also use the Epic posts/bases for large ships. They work perfectly for YTs and Shuttles (and have the added benefit of taking the pesky YT model above the bump level for every other non-epic ship), and though it's a bit tight it works fine for Firesprays too. The only issue with them is the base plate doesn't wrap perfectly around the peg mount, it'll be a tiny bit loose. Still, it's a striking look on the tabletop,

The pegs for the large base ships are the same as the stands for the huge ships, so that's an alternative for you. I usually put my falcon and shuttle on the larger stands just to keep them from getting in the way of other ships on the board.

I discovered a Firespray was missing that after I got home and opened the box. A pic and an email to FFG and I had a replacement mini a week later.

A replacement mini? HOLY CRAP.

How do you not notice there is no firespray in the window of the box.....seems fishy to me :-P
