So one of my friends has a cool clean looking white and red X-Wing that he got in an expansion pack. When I look online, I find pictures of while X-Wings in the expansion boxes. But in person I have only seen the brown X-wing in expansion packs. Do they not make the white ones anymore?
The white and red X-Wing expansion
The white one only comes with the Rebel Transport (much like how you only get the red Interceptors with Imperial Aces).
No, its not that one, I have that one, its more grey and has an awesome orange stripe. The one i am asking about has more crisp vibrant colors.
Edited by AyleronIf you could get a picture of it that would help a lot
There's only two official x-wing paints...the one that's in the blister (a lower-quality version is in the core set) and the one that comes in the transport. The latter has a gold nose conse and a red Astromech. Can we get a pic of this x-wing you're talking about?
The early prints of the X-wing booster was much whiter than the one that came in the starter set, the paint was also a bit thicker and glugged up the details a bit. The starter set version was much cleaner in comparison. New blisters are exactly the same as the starter set version.
So it's a regular X-wing with just a bit white of a base tone. No worries. A couple of my TIE Bombers are blue, and the rest are grey...
It's just a variation in the paint.
Yeah they did totally improve the second release of the X-Wings.
Yup, The original release of the Core set and the X-wing ship expansions the paint used for the base coat for the X-wing was a whiter tone than the first wave re-release. Which had that darkish brown tint to it.
I have one of those pristine X-Wings. I got it at Star Wars Celebration in one of the first Core Sets they made.
