Best GenCon guess???
But, much like an ISD the Nebulon would be far to large for the game.. the table is 3x6 and it would never be able to turn around... it's not practical, nor would it be cost effective..
That said.. it would be perfect for a capital ship game as one of the larger models.. but I don't see that game coming out any time soon either...
I do like the Nebulon B.. I just dont see it as a viable candidate for the epic game..
If you think the Nebulon B Frigate is out of scale for the game then it follows that you must believe the Vigil is out of scale for the game,
The Nebulon B Frigate (if you adhere to a standard scale and not a sliding scale) is twice the length of a Corellian Corvette, with a similar top-down profile. The Vigil is a similar length, yet MUCH wider due to it's pie-slice shape.
The Nebulon B Frigate can be effectively scaled down (as shown by fan creations), built in multiple components and economically packed (due to it's main hull/connecting spar/engine block formation) and remains the single most iconic and instantly-recognisable vessel which appears in the original trilogy.
If you don't think a Nebulon B Frigate can be represented in game, then you don't think a Vigil can be represented in game. Simple as that.

Imperial "bounty hunter" pack...
Rebels "era" Products (not prequel! Still pre Original Trilogy)!!! One of which will be tie advanced due to Rebels Villain.
There are tons of threads out there about the right scale, everyone's dream ships, the Star Destroyer controversy, etc, etc.
This is about GenCon predictions. There are no wrong answers.
Let's make this safe place for people to post their predictions without getting b!tch slapped. (Can I say that, I guess I just did?)
You haven't been around here for very long, have you?
One last thought...Skipray Blastboat.
Arc-170 & N1 Starfighter....
"Ducks for cover"
Wave 5:
On display and two more wave 5 ships released to reveal the 4 for the wave.
From the Stay on Target article:
Recently, we revealed that the fifth wave of starship expansions for X-Wing ™ consists of two heavily shielded, large-base starships designed to blast through enemy fighters with their powerful turret weapons: the YT-2400 and the VT-49 Decimator.
Wave 5 is two ships. That's it.
I don't believe that Wave 5 is exclusive to 2 ships. Let me know if that gets revealed in two weeks.
It's just a hunch on my end, but I'm saying that I would not be surprised if two more got revealed.
Besides, I can provide many a reference to FFG reversing a previous stand on a statement they have made.

Haha yeah but secretly I do actually want the Arc-170.
Technically according to this website: (and remember the internet is always right)
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alliance_Starfighter_Corps
The Arc-170 & N1 Starfighter are more legitimate candidates as a "Rebellion era Star-fighter" than the E-Wing and yet we have the E-Wing.
"Ducks again"
Edited by Mace WinduThey will announce Rebel Aces II, which will be released before than Rebel Aces I.

You are dead right.
My guilty pleasures are the ETA-2's and some of (okay, all of) the other Jedi fighters.

At GenCon they announce a prequels game that is incompatible with XMG. That way they DO get off our lawn, and into the kiddy pool.
Won't be Rebel Aces II/ Heroes of Yavin.....not with Rebel Aces I not even available yet. What I could see if a Battle of Yavin Pack with say the TIE Advanced with a Y-Wing or something like that. Both factions, but different from the starter set ships. Ideally for people that want to play both factions or just want to evenly build up their collection. I really hope we get to see something on Imperial huge ships.

As to the nebulon, it is just too big,, and the vigil, while large, can be brought to the scale the current epics are and still be reasonable, the nebulon would need to be 4 feet long...
Whatever they do, we'll all know in 2 weeks...
I wouldn't be surprised by them announcing that the Imp epics will just be imperial versions of the same two already released.. no fuss, no muss.. they already have the molds, and just need to change the ship that comes with the transport.. probably a TIE of some sort..
This is all speculation, but we should try to keep deep seeded desires and fantasies out of it.. we all have those ships we'd love to see.. but some are just not in the realm of possibilities.. it can lead to people like me pointing out how they appear to some people.. if that makes me a .. meanie head.. so be it.. I can live with that, I'm too old to worry about name calling... lol

I didn't know kiddy pools had sith lords that burn alive, delimbed.

I do like this idea, I'm just not sure how viable it is..
I think maybe a hint to Imp Aces 2 might be a possibility.. but to have them announce a Yavin pack .. maybe I'm just to skeptical. I do likenthe concept though.. and would buy it...

Sure they do, and said Sith lords shout "NNOOOOooooooooooo!" right afterwards.
General Greivous's starfighter and Imperial Sentinel-class lander.
Obviously, the GG ship is facetious, but the Sentinel would be interesting.

See, you clearly have preference and affection for it. So, hopefully they'll make that game for you.
What do you think will be on the Jar Jar Binks crew card?
Edited by Mikael HasselsteinWhat do you think will be on the Jar Jar Binks crew card?
I would like to see something like:
Jar Jar; Crew, 1 Point.
"If you win a points game with Jar Jar, you gain 3 extra points. If you lose a points game with Jar Jar you lose an extra 3 points".

I was thinking more along the lines of, "Any Rebel ship with Jar Jar must be targeted and destroyed before any other damage-transfer or targeting of your ships can occur. This card supersedes Biggs Darklighter's ability."
The sick thing is, I'm not sure if I am being facetious or not. I can see how unbalanced the effect would be, but the thought of your opponent bringing all guns to bear on Jar Jar first is just too enticing to ignore.

I swear, this is exactly what some clones did in a clone wars episode. Deliberately sent JJ into a group of bad guys because they new he would cause a massive distraction and accidentally destroy the tank he was put on.
