So here it is. We're 2 weeks until GenCon. There's been lots of speculation. A lot of wishful thinking. A lot of rubbing of the genie lamp.

Enough of your X-Wing wet dream list. This is not about what you want.

This is about what you think they will truly announce for X-Wing. Remember that guy who predicted the Decimator back in 1975, before Star Wars was even released? Yeah, that kind of Crystal ball action.

So based on everything you've seen from Fantasy Flight, what do you really think they'll show at GenCon?

As for speculation, what I truly believe? We're going to see a peek at wave 6, with Rebels so close.

I Predict The VCX-100, Phantom, TIE Starfighter, and Gozanti- each bundled together respectively for purchase incentive. I suspect that it'll be the second, "Two package" wave, while still being four units.

And that's that. Either way, chances are we'll see the Gozanti, rebels or not.

I'm going to predict that they'll announce Imperial Huge Ships. The ones they'll announce are:

Gozanti Cruiser

Action VI Bulk Transport

The Imps need a good starfighter transport for some nice strategic action, and they need fat, juicy freighters so my Y-wings have a reason for those two torpedo slots to exist.

They might also announce starfighters, which I predict will be the following:

Imperial:
Assault Gunboat
Missile Boat

Rebel:

A-9 Vigilence

Authority IRD

I predict that everyone else's predictions will have at least one major error.

Third/Neutral faction.

Doubt there will ever be a third faction.. no need for it.. you have good guys, and bad guys..

Epic ships announcement would be cool... Action and Gozanti would be cool.

No doubt there will be wave 5 ships for viewing and drooling...

Maybe some possible future Aces announcements... that would be fun...

Pretty hard to call it that accurately. Still- not gloating, but I do think I'm onto something with Rebels.

But most people here agree the gozanti is inevitable.

I predict absolutely zero huge imperial ships will be announced. In fact, there will be no new X-Wing product announced. Wave V will be on display. Rebel Aces will be on sale. Sorry it can't be more revolutionary, but it is what I expect.

Good list. I think you are right about these possibilities. The only prediction you make here that I think is probably off is a Wave Six Preview.

Imperial huge ship: Gozanti and/or Vigil

2 more ships for wave 5. Including the Virago (Star-viper)

I predict we won't see the Ghost from Rebels for long time. We're already getting the YT-2400 and it would fill the same basic role of turreted freighter.

The TIE starfighter will be released in wave 6 and it will include upgrades that either it or the TIE advanced can take (the mythical TIE advanced fix people have been waiting for)

I'll jump on the announcement of the Gozanti (~75m version) as one of the Imperial huge ships bandwagon, I suppose. I'm guessing it will be relatively lightly armed and be worth 2 epic points. I think the package will have two TIE/ln fighters (rather than four, which would be too many for marketing purposes, I think) and will have new named pilots.

Obviously, they'll have Rebel Aces available, and they will present the two Wave 5 ships. But that's not really a prediction worthy of particular note.

I would like the addition of a 5-point Lancer- class frigate which is heavily armed, but I don't think it's all that likely.

I will take the moment to point out that the Gozanti is a prequel ship. So, for those of you for whom the prequels are apocryphal, ... don't let your bile spoil our mood.

(Yes, I hate Jar jar too, don't you worry.)

Sentinel shuttle as a light gun boat and the gozanti with two blue TIE fighters.

Yet another vote for the Gozanti cruiser type ship. The Empire needs a big ship of some kind. I don't know enough of the now-mostly-dead EU to pick specific ships though. I'm sure they'll get a nod for something.

I still think they're going to show case something from Star Wars:Rebels, such as the Ghost that will be for a pre-Christmas release. Sorry, I just believe Disney loves product merchandising too much to miss things like that.

Rebel Aces will be for sale in limited quantities, with Wave 5 models on display. Cards will be kept secret I think though.

I'm still betting on a TIE Advanced / Y-Wing Aces style pack - the so-called "Battle of Yavin Aces" or something like that.

The thinly veiled reference for the Black Sun on the Z-95 card still has me thinking that a third faction may be in the works. It opens up a range of product options.
