I've got a couple of nephews that I'd like to get into something new. How old do you think that you have to be to adequately understand this game with help? Have any of you had experience teaching young kids how to play this game?

My son started playing when he was 10, and he totally gets it. Not sure how old your nephews are, but it probably depends on them.

My son started playing chess when he was about 7 or 8, so his mind was used to playing games with some complexity to the rules. Not that I think X-Wing is ultra complex, but there are lots of little things to think about.

So again, it probably depends on the kids.
