I recently ordered the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire core rulebook, GM kit and a set of dice.

Overall I am super happy with it only I noticed on a few youtube videos when people open the core rulebook that there is a "read this first" booklet included.

This wasn't included in my copy and I wanted to check what exactly it included and if it is worth me getting in touch with the people I purchased from to rectify the problem.

I believe you are mistaking the Core rule book with the Beginner box set. The Beginner box has a "read this first" page. It also has some simplified rules and a fairly linear scenario designed to introduce the rules in small bites. Highly recommended IMHO because a) you get a chance to understand the rules before making characters; b) you get an extra set of dice; c) there is a free PDF followup adventure you can download which is about 3 times as long.

Umm...I think I remember seeing an 11x17 sheet, it was black on the front with an image of Boba Fett's helmet. Pretty sure it was different from the Beginner Game.

Might be worth contacting FFG's customer service?

Phew, I thought for a second that I was missing out.

Now, time to keep absorbing rules!

That booklet was in the first printing of the book (my first copy I bought last year had it). The newer printings (like the one you have and the one I got a few weeks ago) incorporated it into the first few pages instead of making a different booklet.

The first printing of the Core book did come with a little insert. That info is now printed into the Core itself.
