Challenge: Make the single hardest ship to land a hit on, unlimited points

By R22, in X-Wing

The recent article on the new 'Stay on Target' card that allows you to change to any same speed maneuver got me thinking. Who is the hardest ship to hit? Not just by ship since they share stats amongst each fighter/shuttle/"freighter" and not by pilot since a few obviously have slippery abilities. I mean, with all the extras available, from EPTs to modifications, and with unlimited points to spend on that one ship, who do you think is the hardest to land a hit on?

Assume no asteroids/extenuating circumstances, no stress, just what ship set up makes for the inherent most slippery ship in the game? Go!

Cloaked named Phantom w/ Stealth Device, Sensor Jammer, Flight Instructor and Elusiveness that Focuses, you didn't say it had to be able to attack.

Thats 5 Green Dice and you modify your dice and the attackers while Sensor Jammer and Elusiveness run any rerolls.

What do I win?

Gemmer with Stealth, Test Pilot, and Elusiveness at range 1 of an enemy ship with a focus and an evade.

The next best is a Phantom with elusiveness, flight Instructor, and sensor Jammer. But it loses out to focus tokens too much. I refuse to believe anybody would ever put a stealth device on a Phantom.

PTL Echo + Stygium Particle Accelerator + Sensor Jammer + Recon Specialist. Her action is to cloak, which gets her 4 Agility and a free evade action. PTL is triggered by the free evade, and used to focus. Sensor Jammer ensures that opponents without focus tokens of their own will struggle.

PTL Fel + Stealth is probably next up, then PTL Falcon + Threepio + Recon Specialist + Millennium Falcon accompanied by Kyle + Jan Ors.

Ha!

Gemmer is good but not out yet and you only get 5 green when your close. While Phantom gets it at any range at 6 green at range 3. Plus you can't get a focus evade with PtL and the OP said no stress so come to think of it then neither of us can run Elusiveness but Flight Instructor and Sensor Jammer will make the Phantom out live any A-Wing

Recon is good but I wonder stats-wise if FI is the better pick since you can use it for every attack. Though I do like the 2 Focus 1 Evade.

Named E-wing: Stealth Device, Sensor Jammer, R7 droid, PTL

4 base agility, forces target to reroll any hits/crits, turns one hit to a focus, has focus and evade (target lock for R7 on previous round).

I think a turtling Phantom still wins in raw defense but the E-wing can still fire every round.

I'd say switch elusiveness with expert handling to keep away pesky ordinance.

only works if you can bump every turn and no one eles can shoot him

Push the Limit for Focus + Evade if higher pilot skill (to acquire lock by FCS) or Focus/Evade + TL if lower pilot skill.

R7 ruins their dice, roll 4 green dice with a token for extra measure.

EDIT- Spacemonkeymafia beat me to it. I've tried it out and as long as you are only being shot by one attacker, it is fairly reliable.

Depends - landing a hit has three components; defense dice (where theycamefromBEHIND is quite correct), tokens, and actually getting the shot in the first place.

Stay On Target is going to be a right bugger on manouvrable, High PS ships.

This. I flew this using Corran. Double tap then go full defensive. It was awesome.

Porkins + Elusiveness + Stealth Device + R2-F2

Or...

anything at all, protected by Biggs. -_-

Blue Squadron Pilot. Turn 1 do the K-2, then forward three off the board.

Can't hit it if it ain't there to hit.

Unlimited points? any small rebel ship with + 25 points for Biggs, you just can't hit it, at all

Ten Nunb with Expose! Or did I get that backward?

Depending if Jan Ors can affect his her own ship:

Chewie, PTL, Jan Ors, C3P0, Title, Stealth

Chewie PTLs for Focus and Evade, Jan Ors makes the focus a second Evade. When getting shot at guess zero for 3 Evades. If your feeling lucky (or need to dodge 4-5 attacks) you could guess 1-2 and get 4-5 Evades.

my friend's Blue Bwing when it has 1 hp left

your attack dice suddenly become all blanks when you try to attack it, even after rerolls

The setup with the most slippery ship is a 3' x 3' polytetrafluoroethylene game board with an Academy Pilot covered in superfluid Helium-3.

It's possible I've misinterpreted the purpose of this exercise.

I have done/seen this in action, every time the ship takes absolutely NO damage.
