Any recommendations and pics of results from different washes? I'd like to add some extra pop to my figs and more detail to some repainted fighters.
Thanks!

Army Painters Dark and Strong tone inks (not actually inks) should be your first choice in almost any situation. If rumours are to believed they are in truth GWs old Badab black and Devlan mud washes.
As for pics, well here is a slightly shameless plug of my own repaints ![]()

Edited by MacrossVF1I use Nuln Oil form Citadel. Works great.
I've also used Azmodian Camoshade (Sp?) - the greenish one
The GW ones are fantastic! And easy to find!
Really interested in seeing more people chime in. I'm going to be getting some paints sometime in the next few weeks/months and want to make sure I start out right. I've been seeing a lot of people say they use Nuln Oil, but have also seen a few complaints that it can get overly glossy or ashy?
Nuln oil glossy or ashy? I suppose it might happen if the wash is untouched for a long time. Just shake it properly before you use it
i douse nuln oil over just about any miniature i paint. mostly 40k, lotr and my own zombie game stuff. haven't really repainted any x wings stuffs yet beside engine glows so I can't vouch for it on ffgs minis. IMHO x wing is great out of the box, i do plan on doing some repaints sooner or later though.
